nice.
the only thing i dont like is the cape. looks too much like the sword.

Yeh the cape is certainly getting a different hue.As for the horse ,I totally agree it should be black but,its so cliche that I wanted to do something different,White has been done and very well if I remember the post.I wanted it light to highlight the blood from the bone spurs so I went for a pallid honey colour.
Yeah I always find it difficult when painting a model like this to paint anything cliched or generic. I am having the same problem with a Tyrion I am painting for what I think is the same competition (in truro obviously, not durham!) I don\'t wanna paint the steed white but what other colour can you give the steed of the greatest prince in the land?

I figure I can paint the horse any colour as long as I dont make it look like My little Pony.
I like the sword too,could be the winning factor??
Im going to dull the highlights on the cape,I did it before the sword and one has to go.

Alexdakid this saturday 24th.Mines going to Gateshead Metrocentre.Good luck.I think a honey colour would be fine for a prince,what about grey??

I agree with supervike. The sword looks great, and I too like the color of the horse. It\'s different, but works well.
I guess it depends on whether you think the judges will be looking for a stereotypical Archaon or a good paint job. Hopefully the latter.

Anyway, love Christina\'s horse! Luckily I\'ve just got another one through in the post because my first met with a rather unfortunate cat-related knocking to the floor!
Yeah I will post up Tryion when he\'s done. Good luck Klute. Mines going to Truro surprisingly and I\'ve got until the fith, unfortunately I have to go up against SJB but its all good! I\'ll cheat!

Well what\'s been said about the Archaon that I can say differently...Absolutely nothing.
Klute your painting has really changed since you first started posting on here and it\'s all for the better! So much so that I\'m thinking of foregoing the hammer and moving right on to the Nailgun for your hands.
