Lmao. I mean he does have a point. The only reason that doesn't work for me though is video games. (The staying up late to paint part)

The key is to make use of your waking hours even if they aren't by choice. I do laundry while i paint (since i'm constantly in and out of the laundry room to change my brush water anyway) when i have insomnia or a bad flu that is keeping me up. That way the lady inquisitor is more willing to listen to my less than manly whining about being sick and bring me tea and such :)

@Digga - I must confess that my xbox playing has suffered since I started painting.

@Zab - Definitely Professor of Cunning! :D

Hope you will be recovering soon Shelagh!

Thanks Maenas - I'm starting to feel human again. Plus there's a brief window between assignments. So I sense that there may be some painting in my future over the weekend. :dance::brushwave:

This reminds me of my youth. I had to redo 3 years because I liked modelling much more then studying. I can now say that my modelling has brought me further in life than studying. If I could do it all over again, i would study even less and devote more time to the modelling. School is so overrated, really!

Hope you be healthy soon,

Gino

@Gino - I've already been through university once. :) I guess I'm a sucker for punishment because I'm doing it all again :devil: - I want to write (or edit), so I'm doing a Creative Writing degree with English. So now I'm trying to do it with modeling as a competing interest. :D

@Digga - Exactly! You tell him! :)

@Teronus - Your changed avatar really confused me for a couple of seconds. Name and image do not sync. *Error! Error!*

I like changing when I feel I changed. I think this name is cool for me Tero the Ant-Man.

Finally some pictures on this WIP!

I've decided to take a quick break from She Warrior to have some fun painting something different for a bit (and try out my new brushes!)

To clarify: I'm loving the bust, but I've gotten a bit bogged down with technicalities and trying to be perfect. So I'm clearing my metaphorical painting mind by trying something quite different and also fun.

So here's my next project before priming:

The Nurgle Lord looks like a lot of fun and he seems to be somewhat of a tradition here on CMON. :)

That is a classic. Now have you decided on the palette and style? Ironically nurgle can be either clean (see sprokets thread) or very messy, but both can look good. I struggle with the desaturated dirty palette which by all reasoning should be easy.

To be very honest I haven't put a lot of thought into it. I'm leaning towards the messy side of clean if that makes any sense - so, more clean with a few touches of messy.

I'm just going to plunge in at first and let instinct guide me. I'll start seriously thinking about colours etc once I get going. I'm trying to loosen myself up again, so it should be fun. :)

How's the Harley bust coming along? What else are you working on at the moment?
