Freehand Attempt

Okay, so I've given my first attempt at freehand a try.

Here's what he looks like overall:

I still need to go in and neaten up a few edges I think, but I'm glad you like how it turned out Digga.

OH they look cool! when you do those refinements and maybe paint over them with a skin tone they will be much more integrated, as now they look freshhh... the one on the back reminds me a rabbit ^^
And they also look smooth

The eyes look super sharp.... maybe a bit of a red tinge on the white would be great, but I would leave that little change for the future and see if it fits the look of the mini.

Yeah - I was getting tired last night, so the tattoos definitely need some sharpening up and tweaking, but they're almost as I want them. I figured I'd do them now because the highlighting is going to come over them and hopefully fade them in a bit more.

And thanks to all of you for giving me the motivation (just not the courage - had to put my big girl panties on) to try something different. I definitely blame you all for the insane idea of doing freehand, but I appreciate you pushing me. And I know you'll be there to pick up the pieces or give me honest feedback no matter what I attempt.

I met the nurgle lord in person today and can confirm that the pictures do not do him justice.
The colour work on that mini is really excellent.

I took my Titan Cannoneer and Nurgle Lord through to YetiSA's to be photographed today. He's at least got a decent camera and a slightly more than rudimentary understanding of photography. I'll crop them and upload them soon.

I'll second that. I love the freehand tattoos. I'm getting ready to start some freehand practice, and I'm petrified - if it looks half as good as your attempt I'll be mightily pleased.
