Since I last updated here the Khorgorath has been through some changes. I decided that I hadn't left enough of that great basecoat colour in the shadows for his skin, so I took the whole piece back to the basecoat. I've been slowly and carefully working in the red midtone to give his muscles some definition - working in thin layers so I can keep it smooth and controlled.
Here he is for your inspection (two layers of midtone with some cleaning up still to be done):

I experimented with taking pics without using my painting lamp to try and get some more of the detail visible. The colours are more saturated, but I think it still gives a good indication of where he's at.
