lol...I know Sonnyslayer. I thought it was an interesting question since some of us have been painting for so many years.

Well... I was joking, you are a painter..
I just think Ultramarines is one of the most common 40k armies.

I\'ve done Space Marines - just not in Ultra Marine Colors.

Course, I never found the colors of a spam can made me want to paint that much to begin with.:D

No never painted a space marine or any marine for that matter. Well as a child I might have put finger paint on my uncle\'s hand, who is a marine (not the space variant ;) )... but even that is doubtfull.

My first army ever was an Ultramarine force... got stuck with the color scheme because my friend Steve and I wanted the same army to team up on people with :D

I can probably still put together about 2000 pts of Ultramarines if I wanted to... almost all of it with current range models. They aren\'t painted great though, and it\'s far from an ideal army list by now :p

My first SM army was Ultramarines, back in the rogue trader days where all that meant was they were painted blue instead of some other colour and had a U on their shoulder.

The first marine I ever painted was a Dark Angel in black and gold as that was the original colour scheme. Did they ever explain why they suddenly turned Green? I always assumed it was that someone just highlighted black with green once and they thought it looked cool, and then promptly forgot they had a green chapter already (Salamanders, I have a small force of those too).

Am I experienced? I guess not! lol But I already knew that, seeing as I\'ve only been painting for just over a year or so. I\'ve never painted any kind of marine, nor do I especially wish to. I\'m just not into that particular brand of SF, I prefer fantasy and stuff I could use in an RPG. I don\'t even own much GW stuff, just some skelebobs and elven archers, a minotaur and a bloke on a horse, all of which I got for cheap from a shop that was closing down. And none of which have been painted yet! :D

I am just about to start an ultramarine army, and have painted Sicarius, albeit not in traditional Colours, as there is not one single drop of ultramarines blue on him.

I personally think they have became a lot cooler with the release of the newer SM codex, and love the romanesque imagery.

I am gonna start with the 1st and 2nd companies with the plan being to gather an entire chapter of them in my lifetime!

Painted one to crucify it on a chaos banner back when I started was painting stright from the bottle, so it didn\'t even have the justice of a decent job.

Still counts I guess though. ;)
