Well someone said start making your own thread so I\'m gonna!

Here\'s a v quick display stand I made, I recently found a very good stockist in Japan (mainly warhammer and P.Press stuff), expect to see some variety from me soon!

Here\'s the terrain:

Yeah I got a picture frame from a pound shop (well 100 Yen store in Japan but I\'m from the UK).

The hill is a sandwich of 2 pieces of expanded polystyrene with a piece of foamcore (foam board) on top to provide the holes for minis.

Added sand, sprayed black, dry brush of:

Scorched Brown
Dark Flesh
Bestial Brown
Bubonic Brown
Bleached Bone
Skill White

Then just randomly added some static grass!

Yeah I got some Marines! :D I think I\'m gonna create my own chapter (I want to use oranges and yellows / white).

Granddad!
to answer your question about white clothing:
you can use any nuber of base colors, depending on the look you are after, Blue, grey, Khaki just to name a few. They do need to be fairly light to begin with as well, just a bit stronger than those \"hint of...\" colors, if that makes sense

Yeah, just a broken piece of cork board (broken by hand gives it a much more natural feel), then added some sand and small stones for effect with PVA glue.

It\'s the same style I used on this mini:

I don\'t know if you read White Dwarf, Mick (UK version), but last months with the big Cities of Death feature there were some Sisters of Battle painted by Kirtsten Williams. I loved the whites she did and I think she painted them blues.

EDIT -- I took a pic, any ideas of achieving this finish? (which colours etc)

Not exactly sure but if you want my opinion, probably some matte blue, then something close to space wolf gray then up to white could achieve something like this. Remind me of the new high elves eavy metal painting style.

Hope I helped, anyway want to see more progress Arma ;)

Well I feel a bit disappointed with these, yellow is damn hard to paint, this is still very much a WIP (2 hours work ish).

Any advice for painting yellow? I tried to shade with Vomit Brown, not enough contrast I think, would snakebite leather work?

got some chaos warriors left so I tried to knock something out v quick in the time I had to paint (around 1 hour). Bit messy but not bad, blue seems quite easy to work with:

More work in the blue Chaos Warrior, unfinished and some stuff is still just basecoated, and a missed some mould lines Nooooooooooo :( oh well

Tried to paint some battle damage and used a few glazes here and there. Blue seems so easy to work with.
