Regarding some spots to improve... the first I would suggest is the white on the helmet. You can see in the last WIP shot how the light falls on the helmet. It has some really nice natural shading on there, if you try to use some very very subtle shading in those places it should look great.
White is one of those colors you can sometimes paint by simply exaggerating the real shadows on the model. Just make sure you have a single photo to reference, your shadows will move as you paint him obviously
Other than that, I think the biggest area for improvement is the gold. Gold is all about the contrast, you have to hilight it up almost all the way to Mithril silver then glaze it down with a nice thinned down wash (Chestnut and Brown Ink mixed is great, but Flesh Wash is like 90% as good and a lot less hassle).
Honestly the bright hilights combined with a little bit of red tint in the wash will make the gold pop. I used to hate painting gold... and then I figured out how to make it look good
