Bald head looks nice on him.
Regarding some spots to improve... the first I would suggest is the white on the helmet. You can see in the last WIP shot how the light falls on the helmet. It has some really nice natural shading on there, if you try to use some very very subtle shading in those places it should look great.
White is one of those colors you can sometimes paint by simply exaggerating the real shadows on the model. Just make sure you have a single photo to reference, your shadows will move as you paint him obviously
Other than that, I think the biggest area for improvement is the gold. Gold is all about the contrast, you have to hilight it up almost all the way to Mithril silver then glaze it down with a nice thinned down wash (Chestnut and Brown Ink mixed is great, but Flesh Wash is like 90% as good and a lot less hassle).
Honestly the bright hilights combined with a little bit of red tint in the wash will make the gold pop. I used to hate painting gold... and then I figured out how to make it look good

Thanks for the advice, the gold is actually washed down (only once mind) and used chainmail to bring it back up (again only a single pass however).
I think the gloss coat I gave it really took the edge of a lot of stuff and in future I may just use 3 coats of dullcote (I use a Japanese brand however).
White is a colour that just scares me since I\'ve hardly painted it. I\'ve got a few farseers/warlocks left to paint though so i\'ll try it on those.

Started work on a diff mini from the one above. I\'m going to paint the High Elf Hero that everyone and his dog seems to have painted (the one on the left):

The base is super, you have got some good solid colours down on him, is the axe bent ?

The base is made from a combination of flattened and hardened super fine white milliput, then broken into small pieces with a big piece for the top part.
Then I took some green stuff and created a blog and attached it to the base and started pushing the pieces into the sides of the blob, then placed the large piece on top. I used a sculpting tool to hmm blend? the green stuff to the milliput.
Painting:
I think it was this:
Prime Chaos Black
2:1 Shadow Grey : Chaos Black - Thin
1:1 Shadow Grey : Codex Grey - Drybrush
Codex Grey - Drybrush
2:1 Space Wolves Grey : Codex Grey - Light - Drybrush
Blue Ink + Brown Ink + Bestial Brown + spot of yellow ink - Thin wash to break up grey colour.
SNOW
mix baking soda 2:1 PVA glue and add a spot of water, I mixed until gooey then applied with a cocktail stick then covered the whole base with baking soda and left over night.
Next day shake off the excess.

I got my hands on some of the new P3 Paints (the Menoth box set) and I have to say I\'m very VERY impressed.
1) I can apply light colours better than before. I used to have a problem of them drying quickly...
2) Blending is easy with these paints (that\'s going to be a personal thing but for me and the way I paint they seem to click)
3) Coverage, 2 coats was all it took to get a the Menoth Base colour over black... and the paint pretty thin (at least 1:1).
I painted this in about 20 mins.... The basecoat with GW colours would have took me around 30 I think!
More P3 paints for me!
I\'ve also been painting DA\'s and got my hand on the Battleground box set... I\'m going to take a venture into the game and see what that side of its like.
Where to start:
Finally here\'s the tabletop standard I\'ll be painting too. These are the crappy snapfit ones you get with the \"Battle for Macragge\" box.
1) I can apply light colours better than before. I used to have a problem of them drying quickly...
