Ashes Decider

If this was any match other than the deciding test of The Ashes with the game poised as it is, bad light wouldn\'t have been taken into consideration yet. The umpires and Nancy Vaughan are turning a great series into a sad joke... Don\'t get me wrong - I think England (their bowlers) probably deserve to win The Ashes but I think they should bat it out rather than taking the easy route.

Easily said when your team is the best in the world and has been since Jesus was living lol

I think England have shown they\'re better over the series, so why force the issue when they don\'t need to? Aus have to win to draw to take home the ashes, so it ain\'t England\'s problem.

Ponting has been negative with his fielding for some crucial periods in the tests, so it all comes round doesn\'t it?

Plus weather was the factor for England drawing and not winning the third test... it should have already been over. Personally, I\'d rather be watching play but as rev said... it\'s not England\'s problem as we are in the driving seat for a change :)

I think the toss of the coin combined with Ponting\'s ineptitude have played a huge part in what\'s happened up until now. If England can bat out today and most of tomorrow and earn the draw they will well and truly deserve The Ashes. I think they\'re more than capable of winning this game so why not try...

Winning was maybe going a bit far but they\'re definitely capable of not losing it... ;)

Well........

I was living in Adelaide during the 94/95 Ashes and the birth of Atherton\'s Barmy army - we lost every sport possible to Australia that year and not a good time to be a pommie in Aus, so if this is the way it goes, so be it! Nature of the game.

It is a shame, I know, but it\'s the decision of the umpires right now.

Who\'d have thought playing a test match in England in September would be stopped for bad light, eh?

To all the nay-sayers and those who are moaning about the lack of play I say BOLLOCKS!

The Ashes should already be wrapped up, and it\'s our turn for the weather to play into our hands!:D

Our bowlers have proved that we could still draw the match, maybe even win, but I DON\'T CARE! I\'d be happy for there not to be another ball bowled.

Just think, next time they turn up, they won\'t have Warne (or McGrath), then they\'ll get a real spanking!! lol Whatever will the Aussies do without him? He\'s propped them up all series.

Have to agree with u there! Bowled amazingly, and batted with stubborn resiliance and put on runs. Except today - out for a duck - tee hee! If Aus retains the ashes, Warne\'s the man of the series......

Our domestic competition is very strong so we\'ll always produce quality players, we\'ll never replace Warne but we\'re not going to suddenly become pushovers without him.

Even though Australia will lose The Ashes Warne should be named player of the series - who\'d have thought the fat bald git was still capable of it...

Anyhow I\'ll stop my whinging now before I dig myself an even deeper hole for Spacemunkie to bury me in with another of his frank responses...

\"A fat bald git\" is what someone else called him. I personally think he has a lovely head of hair and don\'t understand why anyone would label him as bald or fat for that matter... lol
