Yep my wife was exactly the same and admitted that were it on TV next year she\'d watch it.

The daft thing is that now the players are household names they\'re disappearing off the box.

My wife could name half a dozen footballers at best but on Monday when the line-ups were assembled at the end I was asking for my own curiosity\'s sake, \"Who\'s that? Or him? Or him?\" and she knew the lot, even more obscure ones like Ian Bell or the odious Michael Clarke (but that\'s probably because every picture of him that appeared over the summer was greeted with a stream of invective from me!)

Seems about right. Last time England were king of the cricket world all the players were a bunch of boozy buggers.
