At a crossroads in her life...

Brushlicker and Freak!
Looks great, especially considering how damn small it is. It doesn\'t have to be a paint pot, could be a ruler or coin, just soemthing to show scale :)

Some suggestions for future improvements:

Do what Louiscypher says to get more highlights, whilst keeping the impression of dark colour. Also you could try using inks to shade with as they give deep rich colours, or glazes to recover colour intensity after highlighting (see my reply to TABs post about her dragon).

Try edgelining the signpost with a lighter brown, just to give it a little highlight.

Fill the gap between the mini and the base with some greenstuff, clay or something and then paint into the base.

Let us know when its posted so we can vote.

Hello Ipaintminis, maybe you\'ll don\'t like what i\'ll write and maybe you\'ll don\'t care about it but is what i think.
In my opinion your mini technically is not worth an 8, BUT it\'s some time i monitor your gallery and i must say that you\'re one of the most original painters of the site: your minis are all so particular and off the mainstream and you have a very good personal taste in chosing them and colour schemes.
I can\'t wait to see your next pick up!
Ps: i\'ve chosed the goth road :)
PPS: this is a compliment reply even if i honesly said i don\'t rate the mini 8.

Looks like this newly popular children\'s art I saw recently. Can\'t recall what she was called:
\"Lydia the Strange?\" \"Lysa the Strange?\" something like that.
Very nice. I\'m looking forward to seeing scale to know what you call tiny. (having painted true 25 and epic)

Yes! That\'s it. I searched and apparently she\'s a teen-girl / pre-teen girl internet chat page who has spawned some art books.
Here she is:

I just got my Halloween familiars (boy was Reaper fast on this one - I got my order in under a week when they estimated shipping time to between 2 or 3), and I can confirm that she is a small one. She\'s 18mm high, from base to the top of her hair.
