And I suppose religiouse people have well known moral laws. Is the part where they kill other people in the name of their god a well know moral law? or would it be the part where they refuse to try and stop the advance of sida in africa ? If I put on a cross necklace and say I\'m christian all of the suddent I become a moral personne ?Originally posted by Dedwrekka
Lack of direct and well known moral laws.
Outside the norm ???? What norm ?? What the hell gives you the right to say that atheisme is abnormal ?Originally posted by Dedwrekka
Individualism outside of the norm scares people. We don\'t know what creed or code they follow, so how they think is a mystery. While it\'s a completely irrational argument, so are human beings. Standard fear of the unknown.
And radical religiouse movements have never shown up right. Let\'s repeat the 11th letter of the alphabet three times to see what we come up with. The big hole ine the middle of NYC was the result of a movement based on religion if I am not mistaken. And It seems to me the countless dead in the isrealo-palestinian conflict have somthing to do with religion.Originally posted by Dedwrekka
There have also been a lot of radical Aetheist movements within the US that have radically changed laws and regulations. Those ones in the blurb may have been accepting of other religions, but there have been more active Aetheistic figures that havn\'t been. In fact many have been downright critical of them to the point where any overt showing of religiousness has been shuffled into just the home and place of worship.
That\'s quite interesting... the fact that all the religions he lists believe in the same god, whereas a completely different religion like witchcraft is apparently not a religion at all!Originally posted by wiccanpony
\"I am committed to the First Amendment principles of religious freedom, tolerance, and diversity. Whether Mormon, Methodist, Jewish, or Muslim, Americans should be able to participate in their constitutional free exercise of religion. I do not think witchcraft is a religion, and I do not think it is in any way appropriate for the U.S. military to promote it.\"------- George W. Bush
:wow: makes me feel sooooooo warm and fuzzy and loved. beware Mr Bush I do vote!!!
I reckon that there are more people in this world that believe in some kind of higher being/god/gods than there are true atheists... i think that would make it \'not the norm\' - i dont think there were any negative connotations to what dedwrekka said.Originally posted by frenchkid

Lumping all religous people togeather like that is as wrong as religous people judging us as all the same.
I do have a number of close christian friends. All of whom are more than willing to debate religion and have never treated me in any way different to any of their religous group.
