Atlanta Games Day \'07

It was an interesting comp.

Overall, I thought the quality was down from the last couple of Atlanta events. The fantasy categories in particular seemed sparsely populated. The winners for the most part were really well done, but the \'rest of the field\' didn\'t seem as strong as in the past (myself included).

I made first cut in LOTR single with an Eowyn, but I don\'t feel bad given the winners in the category are all pretty seasoned painters. :)

It was a blast, as always.

Although I\'ve spoken to him, briefly, in the past..I actually got to have a short conversation with, and \"formally meet\" Greg Smalling.....and if I didn\'t congratulate you enough, Greg---here\'s another \"congrats\".:D

Not to make a big deal of it, but it just speaks to the spirit of the competition---getting together with other folks and talkin\' paint. And Greg was nice enough to stand there while I ran my mouth....incessantly...:p

The bbq was loads of fun----for you guys that can\'t attend---you ought to plan for it next year. Loads of laughs.....and according to Grumb, it\'s the one time in the year they\'ll actually have me at their home....

Cheers!

WOW!!! What a good time Atlanta was!!! It was really great to meet all the other CMON members and see there minis up close. I really enjoyed meeting in the lobby after the event and passing some minis around. Congratulations to all the winners!!
as far as my entries go I could not be more happy with the results :) I really gave my best effort to all of them. I have a serious amount of time invested as well. Every mini I painted this past year was entered (3). The Open entry is a couple years old.
I would also like to thank Jakob Nielson who coached me every step of the way threw the painting of the Troll. I really learned a lot and it definitely paid off!!

You really weren\'t running your mouth. Any more than usual, that is. You were just sticking both feet in it.
