Sometimes you get jerks, but sometimes you get to see a good side of people too. I related one bad story about my selling off my comic collection awhile ago, so I won\'t bother repeating it. I will relate a good one. A person from Spain who was bidding on quite a bit of my auctions had won three, and I offered to save him money by combining shipping on them. My wife and him exchanged several E-mails, and he seemed like a very pleasant fellow. A couple of weeks after we sent them out my wife E-mailed him asking if he had gotten everything. He responded by telling my wife he got the merchandise, but it was COMPLETELY DESTROYED! He said that the postal service had folded the package several times, and it looked like it was underwater as well! He even sent pics of the ruined comics, which he paid over $100 dollars for (The book value was MUCH higher). He said he didn\'t want to bother us about it, because he knew it was the post office\'s fault. We felt so bad, that we mailed him out a second package. It just so happened that someone who had won a $45 dollar auction had backed out, and they were comics the other guy in Spain had been second highest bidder. We didn\'t charge anything, not even postage, and he was very grateful. The second package got there in perfect condition, and we all had a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
So, not everyone is a jerk on E-bay, there just seems to be a higher ratio of them there.
