Somehow, I bet he has far more than what he mentioned above. A lot more, those are just the immediate projects he has in mind. When do the Orc sailors ship?

Oh yeah, there are more figures in the collection. Those are just a few of the newer and more tempting projects. Lately I've been trying to find projects that I want to do (of course) but also fit into categories and timelines that work for competitions. There are two shows up in the San Francisco/San Jose area this summer that also happen to be Crystal Brush qualifiers (KublaCon in May and Bay Area Open in July), and I will definitely be keeping those in mind when I'm picking my next couple projects.

I really can't wait to get my hands on the figures from the Orc Pirate kickstarter. Optimistically, they could ship as early as July... but considering how much the project grew over the course of the kickstarter, I would guess there will be at least a couple month delay. If doesn't ship too late, I would love to use some of those figures for next year's Crystal Brush.

Ha, well, a fancy script would be nice... though project fatigue is setting in so not sure I'll redo it.

If you did want to redo the script it might be a easy place to do a decal. You can get blank decal sheets from Testors and then print onto them with a bubble jet (?) printer. Just be sure to get the clear decal sheets and not opaque white.

Arthur looks incredible , simple yet striking . I do however agree with BFOK the script doesn't sit well with the style of the piece .

I love the idea of using a brass sheet for the banner! I need to remember that. Awesome piece, it seems so simple at first glance, but as one studies it there's layer upon layer of detail... I agree that the script might be the weakest bit. However, it is otherwise stunning.

Still undecided about which orc sailors I'm going to get, paid for two. Was thinking the cartographer and maybe the captain or jumbo they are fairly similar so also thought about the guy with the anchor. But I only want too I will never get around to painting. What did you go with bomber?
I have wrath of demons, dual fighters, and fallen frontiers possibly arriving this year too.
Lovely work on artur base too.

Thanks, guys. I haven't had a chance to redo the script yet, but I may give it a go when I arrive at Adepticon. It's on the rear of the figure, so if I don't get to it I'm hopeful it won't be too much of an issue.

Canny, I'm still deciding too. Papa Jambo may be my favorite one from the crew, so he's definitely on my list. I'm getting three crew, so the other two will probably be Sharki and Redghar. But I'm waiting to see what they do with the Kaptain Albrecht sculpt, that could be a must have. After all, I'm going to have a bunch of orcs, so a sweet undead sculpt would be a nice alternative. So three of those figures plus the Big Bomba should take me ages to paint, but they look so good I may actually get to them all.

In other news, my entries are all packed up and ready for the trip to Chicago. Flying with figures is scary, but hopefully they will arrive without any significant damage. I'm bringing along some paints and a small repair kit, so I can hopefully deal with any issues that pop up.

And everyone, please remember to vote for the Crystal Brush entries this Saturday! It's 50% internet voting, so there will always be some people trying to abuse the system. More honest votes mean that the snipers and others like that will have less of an impact. Help keep the system fair!

The anchor guy is done (redghar) I think I will have to get him he looks great. I have been watching Black sails too been pretty good so Im in a pirate mood, its good because its something I can watch with my wife, not many shows like that around

Thanks, Krule and Canny. We've got a bunch of CMON regulars competing including BloodASmedium, Sionid, Khonner, Fluisterwoud, and Scherdy. And it sounds like a few more (including Krule and moetle) may be stopping by during the weekend.

Canny, I've been following Black Sails too, so pirate themed figures are very high on my list at the moment.
