Reminds me of one of my childhood stories where two crooks have the king believe he\'s earing the most awsome suit that only smart people can see so he goes around naked and everybody says that the suit is great because they don\'t want to look stupid....exept a child at the end of the story which actually reveals that the king is naked.

i can understand the need for the ads to help pay for the site. i would subscribe but i cant afford it. having not work currently and just having had a baby.
but why do we need an ad selling things illegally. im sure others dont want a bad rep for the site. if blizzard so desire they could get this site shut down for those ads.

Just to clarify, it\'s not that I\'m against all the ads, cos I do understand that all this don\'t come for free. Just the less \"appropriate\" ones annoy me. I don\'t have any issue at all with ones touting mini stuff, only ones with barenekkid ladies and uber flashy annoying ones. Hell, sometimes I even *click* on some of the mini-related ones!

I have to say I\'m not usually annoyed by the ads, but when I logged on today one told me: \"Can breastfeeding hurt your relationship? Rabbi Schlomo speaks out against nursing.\" That\'s just downright wrong. So I follow the link to gather more info on this to pass on, and it took me to a site trying to get me to win a free wii or xbox. How low. A bait and switch based on breastfeeding. So while the naked lady dating ads don\'t rankle me, this one does.

First off its not illegal to sell WOW gold,, its done all the time..even on eBay. People even sell high level characters.. so no ground to stand on there.
Second, blizzard can\'t/couldn\'t get this site shut down even if they tried..

the banners are needed, yes some are a bit out of place and inapropiate but they keep this site running. without them we wouldn\'t have this community, and who would do anything for free?
Yes the rules say this site is for over 18\'s only, but the truth is that there are a lot of youngsters here, because it\'s what kids do, it\'s their hobby, and this is the best place for it. 12 dollars isn\'t much, but to some it is (especially with gw prices).

actually it is against the terms of play to sell any wow in game items for real life money. hence doing so breaking a legally binding contract.
i know plenty of people do it and it annoys the crap out of me that they get away with it when i play fairly.
