This makes me so MAD!!! :flame: I thought I was getting a bargain when I paid just short of £50 for these... boy do I feel ripped off. :D

Oops, never mind that large Series 16 in the middle there. One that I\'ve had for nearly 20 years, and it still keeps a perfect point.

Does GW use Doublethink for its dictionary, or something?

Bargain: (n.): A good deal, where the buyer makes some sort of saving...

GW Dictionary:

Bargain: (n.) A fictitious thing where the buyer pays whatever we charge because they have not done any market research for the product, and then we laugh at them a lot, while sitting on our furniture built from money.

Of course, I\'m paraphrasing....

lol

reading the description, it is funny how unuseful the products become the further they go along,

Soap • Cloth • Brass Bolter Shell Waterpot • Wooden Box......

lol

i liked the bit about \'eavy metal using them too, we all know they use whatever paints and brushes suit them best, probably W&N brushes, or so ive heard, have you ever read a gw painting guide, \"we used bestial brown highlighted with bleached bone\" *looks at pictures and the colours look nothing alike*...yeah right,

However, and theres always a however, i\'d like to actually see what these brushes are like, i dont think people are stupid enough to fall for the same brushes painted a different colour, so i\'m guessing they have actually made them better quality somehow

The only way I\'d buy them is if I could use the box to bludgeon their corporate headquarters to death.I know it would take a long time, but I\'d consider it well spent service to mankind.:(

That\'s just the box that the cheap cigars were in at their Christmas party.

I think I\'ll stick with W&N at 4 quid a shout.

I always seem to comment on these anti GW threads but it\'s really really really hard not to when the f***tards serve this sort of shite up.

Although the old cigar box puts in a good bid for dumbest item in the collection, I think \"Masters Small Drybrush\" wins that particular competition.

wtf could a \"Masters Small Drybrush\" possibly do for drubrushing that any old knackered brush couldn\'t do? Anyway, it\'s probably just a rebranded \"Standard Brush\".

Well, this might be tough competition for the 35 Euro Aquarium Plants. A set of GW (of all) Brushes for mere 100 odd Euro! Sure, sign me up!
lollollollollol
Can\'t wait to see how soon those are gonna be sold out...

So umm, how many masterpainters drybrush? I thought that was a technique used only by newbies.

You got to love the brass bolter shell waterpot.

\" ...and are of the same quality as those used by the \'Eavy Metal team.\"

No wonder the \'eavy metal team produces such sub par work lately.

\"I used 3 whole colors for this mini here, basecoat of Chaos Black, highlighted with Boltgun Metal followed by a drybrush of Mithril Silver. My detail brush here made a fine drybrush for the fiddly parts like the face.\"

Proper tools for a proper job I always say, and these tools aint proper. Well, they\'re right proper rubbish, but so are banana peels and I haven\'t used one of those to paint a mini since my Imperial fists.

Personally I choose Egg Tempura paints with Crayola Synthetics. Make a right nasty job out of any old trash mini that\'s thrown my way. I used the dipping technique because I got sick and tired of painting my minis with a brush all together. That went over really well. Especially this one time where I dipped my black dragon in black dip. Totally made him even more black! Brushes are for fanatics I say.

I would like to paint a mini using only a cropped horses tail clenched between my arse cheeks, swaddling the pigment to and fro until the mini is \"Golden Demon Quality\". At that point I would don the crown of masterhood and sail away to the pixie dusted land of all Golden Demon winners everywhere. Wherein we would rejoice and frolic naked amongst the everflowing buckets of $100 per bottle PVA glue. Mayhaps you would see me poking my glue bedrenched head out from the lake...brushing aside the $100 per bunch plastic seaweed kelp from my brow with a \"Master\'s\" brush clamped between my smiling grill.

Mayhaps. Mayhaps not.

I still believe my 3 Raphael brushes beat the shiat out of these master set brushes. The cloth would be awesome, i believe...

Some closeups of the brushes would be appreciatet from this master package.

Hey you\'re missing the point here...

It\'s a LIMITED EDITION brush set! It\'ll be a collector\'s item! Especially since basically no-one will buy them. They\'re going to be EXTREMELY rare one day! lol

Not in my collection it won\'t be :D

The only way I would aquire these is if they were given me and I certainly wouldn\'t ask anybody to get them for me.

W&Newton

Just thought I\'d poke my nose in the topic -

The Eavy Metal team do use W&Newton brushes, that\'s why GW have paid for W&Newton to do a range for them, well at least allow GW to print their name on the brushes and box that Spacemunkie pointed out.

I was looking forward to seeing what they produced, but I couldn\'t stop laughing at the price, and I\'ll be informing them it\'s a piss take!

Silly buggers

Heh, the size 4 in the W&N set makes up for a 0 and two 000\'s cost-wise. Oh, I get it! That brass shell is made of gold, that\'s why it costs £37.05. :)

It might be a limited edition set, but they\'re still going to have smelly fanboys buying the damn thing, suddenly expecting to be able to paint 10 times better; \"the quality of your tools help a lot, and make the difference between winning a gold trophy at Golden Demon or a silver one\" - Maybe someone should tell Jakob Nielsen that, he could win a Platinum Daemon with these things
