Got this guy in white power armour HEREand can\'t quite come up with any idears on how to paint battle damage/chipping etc. on a white background.
Don\'t know if the usual silverchipping will work on white.
Any idears?

If you want it like this, do dark (scorched) brown with a little bit of chaos black for the scratch and for the little line under it, use skull white.

I would use browns. Which will look like rusted metal, and stand out well on the white.

Take a look a Cyril Abati\'s stuff. He does great weathering on white.

Yep, I would agree, browns (like matty said and also in the example given by Nigel). The key to it though I think is you need to highlight under the scratch/ damage with a lighter colour than the armour, so in this case pure skull white. This will help give it depth, and create the illusion that a small chunk has been chipped out.

This may be a problem as the pictures given looks like the armour is already pure white.

Would reccomend you do it on a test piece first too!

If the guys IS white at the mo, maybe a very thin total glaze of space wolf grey or something might help.

If not, I\'m sure you could find an acrylic white \"whiter\" than GW Skull white.

I think P3\'s white is IMO.
