Battlestar Galactica Season Finale

Um, Anders was good at Pyramid, so that\'s got to count for something :p

Anyway I\'m just miffed that we have to wait so long to figure out just what\'s going on here. It wouldn\'t have been quite so bad if it weren\'t for Bob Dylan. That just blew my mind.

Anders was head of the Human Resistance on Caprica, and all three of the four were the ring leaders of the Resistance on New Caprica, while the fourth (Torrie) was in on it.

If there was a way to transfer the shows from my PVR I\'d do it... but I have no idea how I could get stuff off my cable box and into something more portable :p

Anyway, I was rather surprised to see Lucy Lawless on Galactica, even more surprised to see that she got a fairly major recurring role as opposed to the rare guest appearance. Hal from Quantum Leap was a fun surprise as well, I just can\'t seem to escape from him or Scott Bakula anywhere I look.

I think the casting for the show has been really good overall. You like the people you\'re supposed to like, and hate the ones you\'re supposed to hate. The quality of actors is pretty high for a TV show of relative-unknowns as well. I expect to see some of these people sticking around on TV/movies after the show inevitably ends in a few seasons.

Agreed, the cast members do their job very well. It\'s one of the best ensembles I\'ve seen in a while. Good enough that I actually cared about things like the episode focusing on Kat. I think that\'s one of the main things that kept season three interesting for me, they did whole episodes that developed the lesser roles and it kept it fresher than if they had constantly had the Adamas clashing and that sort of thing.

I do think few more episodes with various montages that focused on the trasformation of fat Lee to his usual lean, mean self woulda been good!

And it would be Al from Quantum Leap, not Hal right? Loved it when he was dragged into the detention cell proclaiming his innocence, saw his other Cylon self and his mood just instantly switched. Very cool! Dean Stockwell is always excellent.

It still freaks me that Donnie\'s mum is the President though. Even after 53 episodes of BSG and the pilot she remains Mrs Darko in my mind and I think she always will.

As for playing it on a portable device, no need for transfers:

The downloader
The place to get downloads

These files should work on most portable media players.

Do you guys remember Lee as Mr. Kennedy in the BBC Horatio Hornblower series?

I have seen the Chief and Boomer/Athena in minor roles on Stargate SG-1.

Wasn\'t the President also Bruce Willis\' wife in the first Die Hard?

Nope.

Chief has been in a huge amount of stuff, including the Chronicles of Riddick, X2, and the Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Nope, that was Bonnie Bedelia.
However, Mary McDonnell was the President\'s wife who died in Independence Day, and she also was the love interest of Costner in Dances with Wolves.

I am pleased to say I missed the Lizzie McGuire Movie, but who did Chief play in X2?

Thanks for the Bonnie Bedelia correction - they kinda look alike, though!
