This is my work for the OzPainters Beastman challenge. The idea here was to all do something similar with a few rules (well, guidelines really) so we can discuss how we went about what we\'ve done. The challenge was all about challenging yourself!
The focus for this challenge was skintones and atmosphere. My idea was to have a beastman with lighter than normal fur and skin, place him in a dark mid-winter forrest (max base size is 40mm).
For atmosphere, I converted him quite simply to look like he has snatched up a broken spear to finish off a downed challenger in a scrap for warband supremacy. So i\'ll be putting the remainder of the spear and possibly a broken shield on the base as atmoshpere. As a personal challenge I was going to try and foucs on zenithal lighting, or at least being more aware of where the light is coming from. Also, the idea was to finish within two weeks, so Im being challenged to lift my throughput!
I was aiming for something a bit paler for his fur, but i quite like it at the moment. Unfortunately im unsure how to do the plain skin. I had thought of doing from Khaki/bone up to white, but thought this might not work considering the fur is highlighted up to khaki/bone mix.
Thoughts, comments and criticism welcomed!
