Beer Exchange

We\'ve got the mini-exchange, now how about the beer exchange?

Everybody\'s got some local brewery nearby that either makes excellent or really lousy beer...some people here on the forums make it themselves.

How about sending a local beer that you apppreciate or despise to another CMoN\'er and getting the like in return? Anybody up for it?

Forget it, I\'ll just delete the thread in a day or two:rolleyes:lollollollol

Good idea, I think, but probably expensive. :D

Just come and visit sometime Jerome. Have a few friends who make some excellent beer. They also dabble in wine.

Aw come on...I\'m sure most postal systems LOVE us sending canisters with contents under pressure. ;)

Interesting, there are a ton of good little micro-brews/pubs in the Greater Seattle area. Hmm beer.

This raises a question, what is your favorite beer?

For me I would have to say a good Heffeviezen(sp?) is always nice. But I also like IPA\'s, Stouts, and a good pilsner is nice once and a while.

Hey, Jeremy lives in the area. I should have you try some of my friends stuff. :D

They made a really neat batch of Hefeweizen with a very slight fruit taste. It was also something like 8%. lol

Sounds good, next time qwe meet up, you\'ll have to bring a bottle or 2.

Sounds good! Course that means I have to find some free time to actually hang out with my friends who do the beer. Wee bit busy with workshop at nights and end of quarter here at work. :)

Isn\'t there a \"beer of the month\" mail club or something? I seem to recall something like that from my college days.

OK...I don\'t remember much at all of my college days, but it seems to ring a bell.

The Swedish alcohol monopoly gives us a quite good selection of beer to chose from! :D I\'m not sure how many different kinds of beer that\'s available, but it\'s hundreds and hundreds of different kinds from all over the world. That\'ll take me years to go through, but after that an exchange could be a good idea! :duh:

hahaha...that sounds intimidating Ritual. Someone was telling me that there\'s a bar and grill over in Bellevue that had some large number of beer taps, something like 40 something. That would be a great place to spend an evening. :)

There\'s a bar here that carries 600 different types of beer. Also, they have about 200 brands of malt whiskey! A bit pricey, but there\'s worse ways of losing your money, right? lol For the price of ONE box of plastic space marines I can get drunk on some of the most obscure Belgian beers available! :cool:lol

*edit* only about 50 of the 600 are on tap, though...

Good idea!

Bit impractical maybe..:D

Perhaps we could just organise local p1ss ups and report back on progress....

CBON could be a subset of CMON:D

That\'s pretty good, Ritual. Charley\'s Bar in Copenhagen has about 150 types, about 25 on tap. Christian 4. in Odense on Fyn has about 200 different beer, about 20 on tap, with lots of oddball cask ales on special over from England.

That\'s as good as it gets here.

hummm I can only imagine the state of the box if it travels by plane :p well you could always try to suck the beer out of the box, and wraping material :duh:

lol

So instead of mini reviews, we can have beer and pub reviews? I like it! :D
