Hi all. I finished Ben the sci-fi pirate dwarf this morning and uploaded him to CMON like I promised some people i would.

Hopefully he\'ll become the 3th miniature in my own line. And just because I\'m lazy and just typed the comment to go with the picture. I\'ll just copy and paste it here:

\"This is another miniature I sculpted for my own line (so if all goes well this one will be available eventually).

The theme came from the VIP9 (visions in putty) where the theme was sci-fi (something I rarely do something with, be it collecting, painting, drawing or sculpting but which was fun to do for once). The subtheme somehow along the way became sci-fi space pirates.. which I liked a lot... so here he is the end result... Ben the sci-fi space pirate. The pictures don\'t show it well but the bird on his shoulder is actually a constructed bird (clockwork/robot), not a flesh and blood one.

He\'s as big as some of the bigger Reaper dwarves (darn scale creep).. so he could work as a short stocky human as wel as a somewhat larger scale dwarf.

I hope you like him.\"

And here he is, pretty please vote/comment/do both:

sci-fi-pirate-dwarf?

couldn\'t you think of any more genre\'s to add to him? lollol Maybe he could also be a Ninja?:D

This is truly wonderful, and I\'d imagine lots of painters chomping at the bit to get one (I know I am!)

This guy looks great. He\'s handsome for a dwarf.
And speaking of space and pirates, I would recommend Ice Pirates, a cheesy 1980\'s movie which isn\'t all that good, but very funny. :flip:

Ben the bionical sci-fi or steampunk (if prefered)space pirate dwarf fighter/inventor with familiar also able to subsitute as a fat stocky human..... better? ;)

Thanks for the compliments.

I hope to have him cast up in the next 2 months... but productioncasting will be a while (depending on amount of masters I have available by then and funds)

me want me want me want

I\'ve just started working on a crazy stupid project ... its a flying roman galleon with moving oars, propellor etc and proper rigging! crewed by long drong slayer dwarfs... (i\'m trying to make an complete flying dwarf army :) and this is the centre piece) justa tsarted the kit modelling of the boat - will have to add some pics here some time...

I would just love this piece as the prow crewman... save me having to build a harpoon gun!!

If you do cast this up PLEASE let me buy one from you.

looks great Cindy, and you know how I feel about your work, and this one ranks right up there! :)

So any other projects now before Eric? ;)

I\'m guessing that it must be difficult for a sculptor to keep things original with so many miniatures on the market but you\'ve done a great job of creating a unique little chap here.

It\'s all really well done but the stand-out features for me are the face, beard and hair. Tremendous work.
