Dangerous when wet
I\'m just touching up my lotr single mini entry for GD and this year I am determined to put plaques on them (you know, \'space marine with hairdryer\', \'mating skinks\', \'diorama of middle earth\' that sort of thing).
The thing is, this model is on a large (approx. 50-60mm diameter, 40mm high) Plain round base. The base is black, but the pallet of the model is warm, and it\'s sitting on a square aged walnut plate. lurverrly, true, but I\'ve no idea about how to get a warm coloured (brass maybe) name plate onto the curvature of the surface. These are options, but none seem quite ideal:
Paint it on (lots of time, and I don\'t always love the finished look)
Paint plasticard (don\'t much like making tiny plasticard letters)
Straight brass plaque (looks sort of off because it doesn\'t follow the contour of the base. meh)
Any better more professional looking ideas? I\'m reticent to post this as a wip (although I would love to see it get me my first 9), because it would seem to be better to unveil it at the competition. Anyway, any bright ideas for this?
