Tyrconnel. If you need something quick and more easily found then Jameson is a great alternative.

I'd rather have an aged scotch though.

The Macallan Fine Oak! The 12 year old is great, but the 18 year old is better. I'd like to taste the ones that are older still, but they're so expensive...

laphoaig 10 yr (scotch, single malt), it's rounder not as sharp as the older ones, with a distinctive oaky and peaty flavour, not as metallic as some equivalents. have sraight glass couple o drops of water makes it pop, no ice.

sweet asgremlins.....

Oh no! Straight up.
Dinnae dilute it.

depends on the brand, some distillers even recommend it. the neutral aspects of the water 'highlight' the flavours, they refer to this as 'awakening the bouquet'

Best WHISKY = Bladnoch. Soft smooth rounded flavour not heavily oaked nor too smokey.

Best WHISKEY = Bushmills, closely followed by Clontarf.

Jamesons the one I keep returning to for a pleasent experience. Out and about on the town I'd go for scotch and coke to bulk out the drink to pace myself with the pint drinkers, so any ol' crap will do. Except Jack Daniels, if that gets foist on me after ordering a scotch and coke it can override my English reserve. That bilious filth ain't scotch, tis sour mash. All that chocolate box adverts I'm sure they're missing a bit, their oak soaked casks must have been made from the coffins of plague victims, or something.

McCallum Fine & Rare (18 or 30 years old). Or the Glenmorangie 30 year old. I don't mind the occasional Abundah (sp?), either - bites like no tomorrow, but the flavour! Oh, the flavour!
