Hello,

I will try to make a gaming board for the game Frostgrave. My goal is to have a gaming board not too ugly and on which playing will be pleasant.
I started it during the christmas holidays. The board is made with nine 30cm by 30cm plates.

Now it’s time to make some building to put on this ground …

Oh! Looks goooood!

Quick feedback - put some piles of snow on the open fields as well, not only along the edges. There's always some place where the snow for some reason won't melt/blow away.

Thanks Oistene. The snow will be on the edge of the buildings put on the open fields.

I have made one bridge last week (the roof is not finished):

And this week I found in my cellar a building that I have to finish since 5 years at least. It's time to finish it.

Looks great I'll be checking this out regularly. What is the material that you're putting the corkboard onto and how are you filling the gaps?

Very cool project, wish I had the space to try something like this, are those bricks made of sponge with the pattern cut in? And I assume the frozen river is a thin layer of clear resin with bicarbonate of soda for the snow? And also what are those minis? They look quite cool but a Google search for frostgrave minis didn't come up with anything that looked like them

I am enjoying watching this come together

Bon jour Bifron!!

Keep posting your work, it is very instructive to see how you manage to build this things ^^

Do you also paint miniatures? If so it would be great to see them too ;)

Thanks All,
Bricks are made with extruded polystyrene 5mm like this for green:

And Depron 6mm for white

The river is made with UHU varnish-glue:

Snow with Noch snow and UHU Glue Varnish. Don't forget to undercoat with white the snow area

The miniature are from rackham's Cadwallon range.

I paint miniature but not at a very good level compared to the others Threads of this forum. It is just tabletop painting for playing at Frostgrave. Like you can see:

This is some really cool stuff, I'm excited to see more of it. Looking at your board made me a little less sad about it actually being winter right now.

Building a not to ugly gaming table, achieved already. Dude that table Is by far one of the most elaborated and beautiful tabletop tables I have seen In a very long time.
Seriously what do they give to eat to french modelers? :talktohand: they all present themself like, "I am doing some little things I hope I don't mess up" and before you notice you have something trully abobe anything you have seen before.
I will have to buy some french wine yo help me with the next proyect:pray:

Keep going mate.

Somehow I haven't stumbled upon the WIP until now... but wow! Just great, very beautiful work which is also perfect for gaming. Please keep up the how-to updates, as I am certain I'm not the only one to pick up a lot of great tricks in just this first page already!
