The release of Shadow War Armageddon made me plunge back into childhood. So it's time to get out my old scenery and finish my gaming board for Necromunda.
First of all Necromunda need ladder or stairway. Today I will speak about stairway. Stairways are cool and fun and beautiful and smart and everything but not fast to produce.
Yesterday I did a test to simplify the manufacture. I resume my usual method to make them but I changed the way to cut them out. So, here is my mini-tutorial:
How to cut the calendar cardboard to make an open stringer:
Reminder of the composition of a stairway structure:
Step 1: Place a squared sheet on the cardboard and tape it on the edges to hold it:
Step 2: Using a quality clamp (here GW) cut out the triangles to form the open stringer:
Step 3: Once all the edge of the calendar is crenellated you can cut a strip.
This gives a nice strip to cut as needed to make your stairs:
And what do you do with this beautiful band you will say? Well this kind of thing:
