kulandini: i think i replied on the other thread about the arm. hope it works out. the build looks good but the buzzsaw part needs some work. keep it up.

so i got a lot of stuff, finished all the rivets while watching true blood. i am officially caught up now. added the extra spikes on the feet and am ready to paint. i wanted to photograph the backside, but with all the white, the pictures have a hard time distinguishing features. i plan on adding some painted pics tomorrow. if i have enough time to make a grotzooka then i might add that on. other than that i am done with the build. rock on all.

:cheers

I love it ya git
The rivets and the spikey bitz finish it of really nicely.
Could you please show us a picture of the rear of the dread?

Finished the second cc arm
I know the buzzsaw still is the same (almost), I just like it better this way. (sorry uber) Trust me, in the end it will look good :)
The arm has loads of rivets on it, but like I said before I always make my rivets from glue so they might be hard to spot.

Next up are the feet, the most difficult part.
I\'m still open for suggestions , but I think that I\'ll go with the 4 legs... not completely sure though..

she fell to the second page. cant let that happen. arise my child. well i have gotten the main paint added. i have just started adding colors and started blending my reds. i decided to take some pictures of the back side and feel you can see it more easily now. the thing is that photographing this sucker is getting harder becasue its predominately one color and the pieces are close together. i still am not sure what color to do with the pincers. i had originally decided to use metal colors of silver and what not, but now i am leaning toward black and yellow striping to break it up some. i\'m still not too sure about that though, so any suggestions on where i could put black and yellow striping and black and white checks would be great. suki, this means you. :lol. anyhow let me know what ya think.

@kulandini: how are those legs coming along? (hmmm. that sounded vaguely sexual) hehe

p.s.: kulandini: take a look at krooza\'s cc arm on his stompa, i would add something over the front of the saw blade to \"hold it in place\" just a suggestion.

thanks for all the advice on what to add for my deff dread. after looking at the new rules for the mega deff dread i think i may take him as that. to be honest its pretty darn big as well. i got more paint on it and thought i would show you what i have done thus far. i have almost all the reds done and am getting ready to work on the highlights of yellow and black stripes and a few black and white checks. thought i would photograph it from above for you to see this time. i am also working on a red tutorial with a piece of extra rhino door. i should have that up and in the blooprints on the-waaagh.com by october. i just really want to get this done by the finish date.

anyhow here you go:

The painting is coming along nicely Uber

Scratchbuilding the legs wasn\'t working out for me, so I used some old bionicle bitz.
also added some bitz to the back of the dread.
All that is left to do is just the top part of the dread and some detailing.

Sorry for the lack of updates, had a funeral and lots of homework.
I thought I could get the build done by september 20, but apparently not.
I really need to work faster.

I need your help with two things.

1. I need to add more to the bottom of the feet. I was thinking about Imperial sentinal style feet, what do you think?
P9200009.jpg

2. Started on the top of the dread, but I don\'t know what to think about it, Can you guys help me out?

Help is greatly appreciated

Hi Kulandini, you asked for ideas for the top of your Dread, as you\'ve run over deadline, to keep it simple how about just popping in a periscope for the driver? Also perhaps a couple of air vents off the top, if possible that say \"Armitage Shanks\" or some other bathroom related company on them, can\'t have an orc suffocating in his Dread after a night on the curry lol

Keep up the good work the pair of you, always fun to see these informal challenges, B.

so after a week of ol\' uber vs. the swine flu. im back and rareing to go. i spent a fair amount of time on the reds of course and got them finished. i also started on the checks and hazard marks. i was particularly happy with how the yellow and black striping came out on the backside. i feel this really helps brings things together. after looking at the rules for the mega deff dread i think i will use it as that in games of apoc... and as a cc combat beast in regular games. i feel pretty happy of the placement of things but i am sure there are things to work on. my wife told me to darken the teeth just a bit at the top, and after looking at it in better light i guess i am going to have to do that. shhhh. dont tell her she\'s right. after all she is the one who came up with the segway idea. gots ta\' love me wife.

hehe. well on to what you wanna see.
