Another "historic" bust coming along nicely. As for the tattoos on boudicca, I could´t care less about historical accuracy, just aiming to paint something cool Don´t paint for competitions, just paint what I like. Isn´t that what it´s all about?

As for this one, it´s the shield maiden from nuts planet. Or Lagertha from vikings. Again, I didn't care for historical accuracy, and made the free hands and fabrics cool rather than viking styled. The free hand on the shield has connections to the character i believe is going to sit on the iron throne in the end of Game of Thrones. If you can guess the character, i will post sneak peaks from the actual mini itself=) So go ahead, let the games begin!

Truly lovely work on bodecia love the material real depth there with the cross hatching. The shield wow excellent colours particularly like the play of purple and aquamarine. Great free hand. And yes while comps are nice and all that it's the painting that matters first last and always.

Thanks for the comments guys! I´m real happy with the eyes ten, although they are much easier to do in this scale! I would say painting just gets more fun as the scale goes up!

I actually found your gorgeous Shield Maiden and found myself here. Great work on her - the freehand on her shield is especially gorgeous!
