I suspect a fair number of voters don\'t bother with the blurb, or at least don\'t bother with it if it requires paging down. Those of us who are registered and post on the forums and whatnot may be rabid mini nerds, but I\'m sure there are much more casual users on CMON who just pop on now and then to get paint scheme ideas or kill a few minutes in a boring meeting/class.
I recently posted a diorama, and a separate posting of just the figures used in the diorama prior to assembly. The figs were fully painted, but on stubs of plain brown bases since the bases were just going to be buried in groundwork anyway, which I explained in the entry blurb. The picture of just the figs is scoring well below the diorama. Now it\'s been pointed out to me that the picture is crap because I don\'t know how to edit pictures very well, but that\'s just as true of the diorama pictures.
I see stuff like that all the time when I\'m voting - something small, or in progress, or part of a fuller diorama/base where the person has explained that, but it\'s scoring a point or more less than I would have expected if that information were taken into account.
