Heres a mini that i had lying about on my desk, so i decieded to paint it up over the weekend. I did a simple banner conversion, which im really pleased about and think looks good.
The snow was the first time iv ever used a snow base, and it ended up looking slushy instead of crisp and white, but overall im pleased with it as it flows with the dirtyness of the model.
Unfortunately i aint got photoshop at the minute so iv only got the one view.
Please vote, and comment if you\'ve got the time. It ain\'t the best, but i like it!

Looks pretty good. Nice freehand on the banner. The weapons have a nice look to them: battered and not very well taken care of.

Well done! :) The banner is very effective. For the overall impression I think the face could have had some more work. It looks like it lacks details. try to define each part of the face more with lining and small highlights. The face is the natural focal point of the mini so any extra time spent on it will pay off real good.

The skull on his banner seems unfinnsihed, its in need of more highlights, and the eye sockets on the skulle aint painted black or brown either, they look grey.

For the skin, It too could use a few more highlighs, mainly the face needs \'em, and I\'d say the armor might need a few dark washes or blacklining, just for contrast.

For the base, its a bit on the large side for such a small model, and the snow looks brownish/clumpy, not powderish, a few more coats of whatever you use for snow, and it would be fine.

The banner looks good, a few grey highlights on the teefs and it would look even better, I see a plastic part on the base rim, remove that one, its just a small thing, still, it might be worth removing

Maybe some blood on the weapons, to add another color to the model?

Now, some compliments (seemslike people don\'t like me very much, so I\'ll try to be a bit positive too ):innocent:

The banner looks neat, as do the rock he\'s standing on, the banner takes a bit of focus away from the model, which is good methinks.

The snow is meant to be slushy, instead of pure white. The base was going to have a dead High Elf lying on it, but i never got round to painting it, so for now its just like this. Il probably go back to it and add dried blood and another skin highlight. Cheers for the comments.

just another very, very small thing:

The rock is grey, but the gravels brown all over it, now, I don\'t wanna be an asshole, but shouldn\'t there be small patches of grey and a few more bigger rocks?

Overall a nice piece and your painting is well done. Just a couple of points tho.

All the metal work looks kind of bland. Maybe some freehand on it as per the banner and maybe some different color metals.

The top of the banner looks like it wasnt cleaned up real well and some more highlights on the freehand on the banner would help.

The skin needs alot more highlighting.

The base could use some more work. Its such a big base that you have the oportunity to do something on it. maybe a pile of dead bodies.

Dont take this as negative tho I like what you have done and have voted. Good work
