Ok I have been busy painting, as you maybe know or simply notice by watching and reading (hopefully) this thread I am painting several minis at once! I like it that way and so far it is working nice, so here the update of what I have painted and finished recently (yes it happens!!!)

I have finished my frog sorcerer, I need to base it then offer to a really special little girl! I have spent lots of time on that one, with some free hand on a small scale and some chinese characters (that was quite difficult)

Then I have finished one of my mandrake

Then I have finished a big guy, the ironblaster for my ogre army, I have rushed it at the end... It is big, many components to paint. You think that it does not look good but when you assemble everything it really takes shape and look quite good. I have used wet blending and washes to finish it faster, here the result. I really like the tiger skin though!

Then one more ogre, I am working on him since months... I finally finished him! I like it even if it was far to be the best finecast!

And... I have worked on my Eclipsante again... I have started the face, worked on the skin and NMM gold following previous advice:

That's it for today... I will keep updating the mini on going, there are plenty to come! What a nice hobby!

Any comments, suggestions are more than welcome!

I am also accepting commission, I am based in Shanghai so quite convenient for Asian and South East Asian including Australia! If you are interested just send me a PM!

Thanks guys! I try to learn new techniques and better color schemes and trying to paint faster, so maybe not the highest quality but quite enjoyable from time to time... I am still working on higher standard mini, like eclipsante which will take more time...

So here some pictures from my little quickie paint job with quick free hand, it took me around 10min for both front and back freehands, again, far from being perfect, but acceptable or the time spent...

Very nice for the time spent, if you are not finished iwht the figure I would give some more attention to the gem at the backside, it looks a little flat compare to the front part.

Will take inspiration from you fast painting and continue my own journey there when given time.

Thanks Kretcher. The gem is not finished yet. I just did one side of it... I am not sure how to take it. Actually on the picture it looks better, maybe I just continue the other sides with the same effect, what do you think?
The mini is not finished yet but one more session of an hour should make it done!
I believe that fast painting belongs to one type of painting, and you can learn a lot from it. Especially if you have some mini where you can done this type of job. I remember that Dragonreach often said that finishing a mini in one sitting is quite enjoyable... I was doubtful, that's why I tried out with this mini (together with wet blending) but now really start to believe it: Finishing some mini faster, in a good painting quality is really enjoyable!

I can relate to that. If you spend to much time with one mini you might get fed up and that usually isn't a good thing.

Live your free hand a lot, specially on the frog.

Thank you Alexandra... I will work a bit more on the frog freehand to adjust little mistakes... This frog is for very special little girl! I hope she will like it!

I have finished my sorcerer, i have spent around 5h as expected, quite happy with final results. Sorry for the round base still have drying glossy varnish to protect it...

I also like it ;) Just one thing ( here she comes... ): it might be the pic but isn't the staff hand colour too dark?

Thank you alexandra... You are right, i have corrected it before to put it in my finished mini cabinet... I will take final picture soon.

Ok, one mini finshed, 3 others started... Never ending! i have started morghana from mcvey studio, here the progress after first paint session of the demon. All base coat done with airbrush and was really enjoyable, even small details! It requires a bit if technique but it is really fun and much faster. For the skin i also try bit more complex tones, purple an red/yellow mix together with some green/blue tones in the shadows, hope it looks ok.... Any comments and advice are more than welcome:

Long time no update... Like usual multiple projects at once, but kicking out some old projects nicely over the last month!
I just won local painting competition, hobby starting here so my opponents are not so numerous and level not here yet... But is is coming, and as usual coming fast! Sorry no picture for the moment, I was in a rush and could not take decent picture before to give the mini.

But I have several other projects to show, I start by my finish Cannibal on its 100% handmade base ;):

Then my ogre army continue to grow, somewhere between 1500-2000 points, here my gorger, the sculpt is rough, but I enjoyed painting his flesh with different tones:

Then my 10 little gnoblars, 14 to go for a total of 24, I train my fast painting skills, 30min per gnoblar without preparation and base coating, not the highest standard but fun to paint to relax, lots of wet blending:

I have started also a dark sword female paladin with sword, like these mini for training cloth, NMM, color schemes:
View attachment 20382 View attachment 20383

And finally, my dark eldar scourge, first to train my airbrushing skills (wings 100% airbrushed), then my freehand, it will be the next step on the wings, I really enjoy painting this model, the details are nice, it is a fine and delicate mini. Really start to like Dark Eldar even with all the fuss around GW, here not much choice:

Ok that's it, sorry for my dispersion on many projects, but it is the way I work, I can do a more "WIP style" with more regular follow up but seems quite hard to follow, so I try to group the post in one update... If anybody interested in a regular follow up just raise your hand.

Ok I have recently started a big beast, my Stonehorn for my Ogre army... A long story this army after 2 years painting it between other minis, but it should be quite nice at the end... With an higher standard that simple table top.

So I have airbrushed the body and the head, and started to work on the horns, lots of small bits/accessories to paint so it will look slightly better with more details... I guess I will spend around 30h work on this one, but hopefully will look nice at the end!
