I agree with Rob too, in Italy we have started a new forum mostly to share the knowledge, organize meetings and raise the skill of everyone.
Well.. if someone visit the Italian Golden Demon in December the Legio Pictorum (aka Italian Team) is trying to organize a meeting
Seems that we have visitors from Spain, France, Switzerland and Germany.

Most of the threads are in Italian but at least the pictures are translated in every language

I\'m not sure why you\'d have a british team in a british GD? But if it means that you get together and travel to other GD\'s it\'s a good idea. It\'s great getting support.. it doesn\'t necessary have to be national teams though.
One thing I really like this hobby is how it pull together different people from all parts of the world. I just hope the national teams doesn\'t isolate the different teams. There is a risk just because it\'s much easier to express things in your own language.. and that might keep you from being as frequent on other forums.

Yes, the main reason to create a \"team\" is to exchange techniques and talk about miniatures, Coolminiornot and the other forum or mailing list are perfect but many non English speakers cannot use them.
On the other side I have visited an historical contest last week and they organize a sorto of \"championship\" painting the same 5 or 6 miniatures and then judging them.
I have seen teams from Italy, France, Switzerland, Turkey and Greece... and it was a nice competition, hope we can organize somenting similar with fantasy miniatures one day.

I take Orb\'s point about the selectivity of the categories and I have realised that in that instance I was relying on hearsay. (Ok not admissable in court and shouldn\'t have been used....Apologies all round).
One thing I do feel about the existance of Teams is the US and Them attitude it has engendered with some people. (Like we really need to divide this world even further.)
I\'m happy talking (electronically and physically) to people from all over the world and sharing ideas and learning from others regardless of their nationality. I don\'t need a T shirt or an emblem to remind me who I am or where I was born.
As far as I am concerned CMON is the only team of which I will be happy to be considered a member.
So while I thank you Angelos3000 for the invitation, I will decline to join, but will alway remain willing to discuss painting, help other people and learn from anyone.
