Now I\'m going to have to make the perilous walk over the fields and across the A50 to get to Tesco so I can buy Black Pudding. At this hour aswell! Darn you! Darn you all to heck!

Sorry, not eating blood sausages.

Put it on a bun, I\'m sorry, but I have had MREs (Meals Rejected by Ethiopians) way to many times to eat them by choice. I\'d rather forage for critters than eat that preservative filled sawdust and meat by products. Ever wonder why the all say {Not safe for Human consumption - Except for Military}
Yeah, I\'d sooner eat week old roadkill.:|~

Well, having eaten C-rats, the original Brown MRE\'s, the latest generation MRE\'s, and food preped by Nepalise who were taught to cook American by the English, all I can say is the latest batch of MRE\'s aint that bad.

For a while there at sunny TQ we were eating the MRE\'s over the chow hall food.

Yes, it was that bad.lol

Um, yeah other than offending their delicate religious sensibilities, the Geneva Convention prohibits that level of cruelty in a conquered nation.

Just got back from skiing in Austria, with a couple of days in England. I am so very glad to be back home, we\'re spoilt for food here, absolutely spoilt. Better food, better variety at a quarter of the price. And that\'s just the fast food I\'m talking about.

As for black pudding, well, it\'s just a great big bloody scab sausage. :|~

Good for the three of you then, you can pick your scabs and keep them in jars to be exchanged with each other at Christmas time.

The funny thing is that in the 6 years of service, I had properly mixed kool-aid once! And that was by a National Guard unit :cussing::cussing:

Have to agree with DR, MREs are pretty good (ummm.. Turkey diced with gravy......, ok so they don\'t make that one any more).

And back to the topic at hand. What are they defining as FAST FOOD? Just the Mac and Dons, BKs, KFCs, and the other multi national eateries? Is the mom and pop shops that serve fish on a stick or some nice dog, grasshopper, whatever meat on the corner in downtown Hanoi not fast food? If not, what is it?

If I can make better I won\'t eat it. That\'s my motto. And as I cook a lot and most of it tastes jolly fine, I rarely have fast food. The only times I make an exception is early in the morning when someone goes on a breakfast run. If I want food quickly I end up in decent sarnie places or cafes. Always the safer option. Fast food is evil on a grand scale, mostly for its crimes against quality food.
