which is good for those of us who are really really terriable at algebra.
The point, if I\'m not mistaken, is to ensure that your liberal arts grads have some basic math skills, but not fail them all because they are not mathematical geniuses as well as literary/historical/political ones. My \"physics for biologists\" course in first year was along those lines...and its not a short cut though the requirements, its a legimate class, and one of the maths offered to complete your requirements.
for those people majoring in types of \"liberal arts\" you can take that math class. For those people not majoring in liberal arts majors, you have to take college algebra.
