I found Descent spooky primarily for the times when they were crawling through the tight spaces.

That would freak me out.

Overall I really thought it was well done. I was pleasantly surprised that an all-female cast went pretty well. It wasn\'t campy or just a bunch of T&A (which there\'s nothing wrong with). Kind of a pleasant surprise.

The Others was pretty good. And for a newer movie Disturbia was pretty well made (it was better than I expected anyway). Aliens though may be my all time favorite

Im a real big horror fan ... so there isnt much that gets me going but here are some of my favs:
The Ring
Poltergeist ....deffin the clown......and the dam tree .....had a tree next to my room as a kid
The Exorcist
Aliens
The Grudge
Faces of Death ... all of them ...
American Werewolf in London ..... the whole fog sceen got me as a kid ...
The Forgotten .... I know it wasnt horror but watching it in a theater could realy make you come outta your seat..

I watched My Little Eye last night, not the first time I\'d seen it but I\'d forgotten how good it was (ok its not the best but still). I found it quit unerving some of it any1 else seen it???

I lament the loss of the \'R\' rated horror film in the theatres.
There hasn\'t been anything I\'d call \'scary\' in years. It\'s really
difficult to be frightened in a movie where so many teenagers
are yakking with eachother, and the girls are screeching
just when the music changes suddenly, nevermind anything
actually happening on the screen. And seeing them on the
small screen, even in the dark, just doesn\'t have the
same effect. There may well be \'unrated\' DVD\'s of these newer
movies that might have a chance, but until I have a huuuuge
tv screen to watch them on, odds are that I\'m going to continue
to lament the loss of the \'R\' movie.

But, there are movies that have horrified me.

1- Scarecrow (not because it was scary, but because it was THAT bad)
2- Bad News Bears Go To Japan
3- Gilligan\'s Island and the Harlem Globetrotters.

I know what you mean about hte kids. They come to the theatre and just wreck the place. Its completely different in Asia. You go a cinema and the people are actually quiet. AND THEY TURN OFF THEIR CELL PHONES!!!!

Just watched The others about an hour ago and it had some quite scary moments and the ending was surprising. Not a mindblowing experience but pretty good.

Thats the beauty of this movie. It was suppose to look realistic.I know alot of people thoguht it was a real situation and then denied it after the movie came out.
Some guys in our painting group had this theory of how teh kids really ran over the Canadian border and started a sex cult.

They were dead serious.

The Dracula movie wit Keanu Reeves, the bit where Dracula chases after the girl in the red dress in animal form gave me nightmares.

Notice how Keanu isnt too bothered about escaping Dracula\'s castle when he has three sexy vampire chicks \"looking after\" him? Van Helsing didnt put much resistance either...

Also I\'m putting in a vote for the Evil Dead series. Terrifying the first time you watch it. On Halloween. With a full moon. With all the lights out. Three words: The Pencil Bit.

I don\'t understand why people go to a film and then talk - you\'re paying £4+ to talk to your friends? How stupid.
I went to see The Simpson Movie and for the first 15 minutes there were about 20 girls at the back talking continuously, even though there were numerous requests for them to shut up. One said \"This movie is boring, let\'s go shopping\" What?! They were talking so much they couldn\'t have been watching it anyway. Eventually they got kicked out...

when I went to see Transformers (omg its brilliant!!) you could of heard a pin drop when there wasnt anything going on in the film i think every1 was stunned into silence!. If some1 one talks during a film next to me God help em there liable to be told to :cussing: the hell out or shut up. I love the cinema but hate some of the people who go and wreck it for every1 else.
