If we are talking classic cartoons, then my all time favorite would have to be the Looney Tunes....
Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and gang (especially the ones made in the late 1940\'s and 50\'s) are so well done that they have a timeless quality to them. Just about every generation can relate to them (as opposed to some of the more modern cartoons)

IT WAS!!! I remember when only the most popular TV shows were \"In Color\" and proudly announced it at the beginning of the show. That was one of the amzing things about the old Disney shows - \"The Wonderful World of Color\" Tinkerbell coming on and splashing the screen with rainbows of color. Of course it was many yeas before we actually HAD a color TV That\'s why it was fun to go to the department stores and stuff - to get to actually see shows in COLOR[/ancient history - off]

I fear that the combination of mind-altering substances and vivid courschemes helped created this wave of \'groovy\' shows for kids... Willow the Wisp was a personal fave before the 6 O\'Clock news! (better than Neighbours anyroad) HMS Puff\'n\'Stuff? Did you make that up DR? lol
I also loved Ivor The Engine, true genius! Was the little dragon in Ivor called Idris? Me and my girlfriend have argued about this for weeks!

@Jas: Oops typing error HR Puff\'n\'Stuff was a kids show featuring Jack Dawkins who played the Artful Dodger in \"Oliver\". Shown on Saturday mornings

Ahh yes, but to a kid in the late 70\'s when everything was in color it was amusing. Was the real world in color when you were a kid?lol

Speed Racer, Kimba the White Lion, Astroboy, Gigantor, G-Force/Battle of the Planets and a lot of the US imported \'proto-anime\' found on the TV inthe mid to late 70s and early 80s
Gundam (my USMC dad was stationed in Okinawa in 1981-1982 - I spent my 11th birthday there, so you do the math). The old1970s-80s original one, not this Gundam Wing/Fighters crap out now.
But I think the most recent has got to be the Star Wars Clone Wars episodes. These had a better sense of style, creativity and a much better plot than the 2nd movie did...

One of my favorites from the 1970\'s was Flash Gordon by Filmation. It followed the 1930\'s cliffhanger serial format and the character design was based on the comic strip.
I\'ve always liked the Warner Brothers shorts, most Tom & Jerry cartoons and the Fleischer Studios Popeye cartoons. The longer ones, like Popeye meets Sindbad the Sailor and Popeye meets Ali Baba are just amazing.
Lately, I\'ve been watching CN\'s [adultswim] and my wife keeps downloading fansubs of Inu Yasha and Naruto.
