Well the little guy has arrived with me, he seems to have gotten a bit battered on his travels through the postal system nothing to worry about just his weapon needed straightening is about all.
I shall make a start on my part within the next couple of days, I must get at least one of my miniswaps done first.

@spacemunkie. i did get to strike back......that is how i broke the fingers! my nose has been broken before via various ice hockey incidents so just about any time somebody touches it it seems to go. @arthur i got jumped walking past a bus stop on the way back to st denis train station. somebody yelled at me in french and i just ignored them until he took a swing at me... unfortunately on the nose! i then swung back as i was not best pleased at being hit and got him somewhere suitably soft, then legged it before he could follow. in hind sight i probably should have just given him what he wanted and legged it because afterwards all the worse case scenarious played over and over.

@ Stuart nice to know your fingers were not broken in vane, yes I got the Comissar thank you very much I am looking forward to painting it. I\'ve never done an Imperial guard model before so should be fun. Thanks.

@Tim : If the pins in his feet are still there, try sticking him in cork to get a better hold.

The pins are in his feet but I don\'t have a piece of cork large enough for the job. I\'ll figure something out.

@Tim : I usually rig up 2 or 3 corks with wire wrapped arround. The Slave Giant for Paint Aid had 7 corks, one central and 6 arround.
And before everybody goes thinking that I\'m a big alcoholic, it\'s not the case. I got them in a wine bottling shop.

Sadly we have no wine making store where I live but I will think of something rest assured.
I\'ll also get some pics up soon as well. That is a very cool base that Scott has done for it.

Well here is the furry guy, as he is before I start my part,
I am sad to say that a little damage has been incurred during transit and part of one of the sculpted chains has been broken off as has one of the blades (the tip) and were not in the packaging. It should not make a whole lot of difference to the finished model.
One thing that struck me though when I looked at it was that after I have completed my part it is going to be increasingly difficult for other contributors for instance minimaker is going to find it very hard to do the flesh areas without catching previously completed areas.
With hindsight it may have been better to do that part first before going on to parts that cover the flesh.

Well I have quite a task
Here is a trial run of the metallic edging that I intend to go with on our furry friend,
I hope you get the general idea, I will re-undercoat in white the areas (if any ) where the black spills onto.

Be Patient
This is going to take me a little while to do, I started outlining the edging of the armour last night and it is incredibly intricate added to that I have to be ultra careful not to catch the already painted areas so this may be a long process. I will be as quick as I can but I don\'t want to make a mess of what is looking like a very nice model.
The extra pieces sculpted by Cedric and also the previous work done by other painters is high quality.
It is going to look fabulous when it is complete and on the base of Scott\'s which in itself is a work of art.
