Yeah, it freaked me out too ;). I hope it\'s something like they\'re getting so popular that their server can\'t handle it. It should be back up today, I hope.

I\'ll post pictures of the on going green work to get feedback; there\'s always a slight difference between the 2D and the 3D version ;).

I\'ll probably have to glue and pin all the parts, does that bother anybody? Which primer should I use? Black or white?

And again, thanks for everybody\'s nice comments. I hope I won\'t disappoint your expectations ;).

the eternal debate

Black or white..... that\'s going to be a miracle if we get people to agree :p
I usually paint on black, but white dosn\'t bother me at all so wathever suits people :D

No worries either way

I don\'t mind whichever I usually work off a black basecoat but I sometimes use white as well so it realy doesn\'t matter ro me.
A white basecoat might prove the most sensible as then when we each get to do our task we can simply over paint the white on our area with black if we so wish.
It would be much harder to do it the other way around methinks.

Well thanks guys for your feedback :). As I said, I\'ll only start on saturday, so I\'m still open for good ideas ;).

For the paint scheme, I was thinking of what Rackham did for the second Devorer Carnassier (I don\'t know how they called him in english). I would have put up a link, but apparently, at the time I\'m writing this message, the Rackham site is down :\'(. But some cold dark blue look would be cool, could even contrast well with all the blood and guts of the unlucky Wolfen in his hand ;).

Good choice of paint scheme. Check out my Tyrant.

Here

:D

Yep I was kind of thinking of somthing along those lines, that\'s actually the paint scheme I tried to do on the last (and only) devourer I tried to do, worked out quit well exept for the skin, but now I have a good receip to try out on my next devourer.
Asfor the basecoat, I\'d that tidoco is right, easier to cover white with black then to cover black with white. And if we go for a light skin tone the guy doing the skin maight be appy to have white.

OK, I\'ll prime it white (I only use black for minis like orcs or chaos).

Otherwise, great news, Rackham\'s site is up again :). Here\'s the link I was thinking of :

But a cold blue scheme could work well.

I also like this color scheme for the clothes and armor :

First link doesn\'t show but the second link is awesome I don\'t know if it would work on a devourer, but I must admit it does look good.

greenstuff\'s sugestions look good :D
As for your link leopardix I don\'t really find it much brighter, and I\'d have to start painting like jeremie :O But looks good to, my vote still goes for the links green stuff posted ( now maybe if you post some more pictures of you... ;):D)

LOL, nice try frenchkid ;). You\'ve probably already seen her lovely picture in this thread (I have no idea where it is now, the thread is huge) : http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=4901

Choose whatever you want for the paint scheme, I think I\'ll have enough to handle with the conversion. But please, please, please, don\'t make him hot pink ;).

Jérémie is an awsome painter, but I have doubts on the fact that his Mid-Nor Dwarf scheme would fit the Devorer.

A brighter paint scheme can be accomplished by making him albinos and giving him dark clothes with bright twisted motifs.

An other solution would be to change the mini, this one is soon to come out and I find it breath taking : http://confrontation.altervista.org/news/images/previewjap/cynwallmodulabili.jpg

That is a great mini but I think we should stick with what we have already planned. I liked the sketches and am looking forward to doing my part I think the colour scheme will flow togehter as each person does their bit.
