I think we decided on a white undercoat (I hope that is fine with you). As for the painting order, I posted it towards the top of page 4, (you are #4 on the list). I PM\'d all the addresses to Green stuff, and he is printing it out and including it with the miniature, so after you are done, you just send it to the next address on the list. That is a good idea about including a paragraph or five:D about how you did what you did. This is supposed to be fun and a way to learn from each other, so if you feel moved to do so, that would be great.

how about posting here too

when you guys write about how you painted each part, could you post it here as well so the non involved people learn too?

Wow...

Really nice work there greenstuff!! Can\'t wait to see the fully fleshed out work. You\'re really talented with your namesake!! :D

Cheers,
Grumb

@provoke me....I would be happy to share what I do when the time gets here.

A complete history would be interesting to have to accompany the mini to it\'s new home where ever that may be:D

Well, again thanks for everybody\'s nice comments. In the original sketch I was going to put in blades going out from the back of his neck ... had to scratch that ... it kind of made him look like frenchkid\'s avatar ;) ... sorry Arthur ;).

Once I\'ve finished with the sculpt, I should have enough time to compile this thread and put it in PDF format to make up a history for the aquirer as you suggested. I\'ll send out a copy to everybody on the list to make sure your OK with it.

I think that posting WIP pics and descriptions of how each part has been done is a good idea, I think the only thing that would go against this is the amount of available time each of us has to spare to do it.
I certainly don\'t mind though.

Some fresh news

The back banner is almost finished (it\'s taking forever to file the blades sharp) and the shredded wolfen is coming out pretty well. I\'ll post some pics this week-end.

That was the good news. The bad news is that the sword part that points to the back is giving me some serious cold shivers down the spine. The more I manipulate the mini and the more it bends where the devorer\'s hand is holding it. I\'ve started to see micro cracks appear. I\'m not too keen on pinning it because the hand grip seems too thin to drill straight. I think the simplest option would be to add some chains to take off some of the stress.

Until the furry guy gets a base I think everybody should be careful with that sword.

Well, I\'m back to filing and sculpting ;).

I just found this thread and this is a great idea. I was thinking, though, the next time you do this, pick a Werner Klocke figure, that way, everyone on Coolmini can each do a buckle.

Welcome to the thread ;).

I\'m not familiar with his minis. Could you please post a link of what you had in mind so we can see what we went by ;)?

They are cool minis I have the Chaos Sorceress and one of the Dark Elves. But if we do another chain mini I am up for doing another one maybe one of the Lizard Riders.

As a thought how about a 90mm one of Blazon taken from a piece of Brom\'s art, sculpted by Werner. It\'s from RAFM. I have only seen the terrible picture on the web site, but I was going to order 1 for myself. The price is certainly right.

Nice one, but as an after thought, maybe for the next one we should let leopardpixie choose a nice and bright mini. If we go after some other dark and gothic mini (however cool it may be) I\'m afraid leopardpixie might get \"mad\" at us ;).

I like the Elric of Melnibone mini myself but I am biased towards Moorcock\'s character anyway.
There is also Griffin\'s Raum model

I am eagerly awaiting mine to fall through my door. As for leopardpixie well we could always do some nice elves or something like that inbetween times.

But OK for some pointy ear do-gooders ;).
