LunchBox and Timweasel,
Excellent work you guys- beautiful stuff. I have to echo the general sentiment that to place (and even first cut) at this Demon is a testament to your skills.

I really liked the Gandalf model- very cool. And the 40 squad is, likewise, very gear.

Here\'s a couple shots of my Open entry. I\'m still getting used to working on my photography. I\'ve got a light tent now, so I think that\'s helping.

I\'ve got a WIP shot too. At this stage I\'m still adding stuff to her head/mask.

Congrats again you guys. I\'m definitely starting some Chicago 2008 entries soon....

Dave

Now I can see just why you placed in Open Dave, it was a little too dark to appreciate the Femme Militant from behind GW\'s sneeze guards :D Looks awesome, tell me when you submit it to your gallery.

Thanks, man. You\'re right about the sneeze-guard. It definitely plays havoc with photography.

I liked your Troll alot, by the way. I think the base-work is especially cool.

I don\'t believe I\'ve posted it over here, just on my usual haunt at the Relicnews P&M Forum, but I\'m in the process of editing and posting all the pictures I took of entries at the Chicago Golden Demons this year. I don\'t have pictures of all of them and I unfortunately have a few gaps in the award-winning entries (since I was pretty stunned once I found out I\'d won Silver in LotR Single Mini), but they\'re mostly all taken and mostly all posted so far.

Conveniently enough, though, I do have pics up of all you folks that have chimed in on this thread, if you want to see \'em...

(If anyone has pictures of the award-winning entries I\'m missing, I\'d appreciate it if I could \"borrow\" them!)

Gosh that Dread looks familiar...so does that Chaplain...hmmm.

Well, it looks like the guy who won best painted got DQ\'d because he didn\'t paint his army...at least that\'s the rumor. So, it bumped me to best painted in the GT, and got 2 of my mini\'s on the GT home page...sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Well done Lunchbox. Painting awards and 38th in the GT, not bad at all. \'twas a good day for you.

Thanks...all I wanted was painting awards anyway...in fact, I upgraded one opponent\'s win to a massacre because I had so much fun losing, and I gave another guy a draw instead of me taking a win, because I had fun...I probably would have placed higher...but I could care less about that!

Quite a mini, and congrats Mr. Fontaine...was this your first Golden Demon? ;) I imagine the judges choosing from the top 3 was like trying to decide which Playmate is hotter.

Mathieu, on a side note here...if you got a chance to see my Wolf Priest in person, I would love some C&C from someone as established as you. Making Honorable Mention in a category dominated by 3 world class painting-giants was huge for me...but I need to know how to step it up a bit.
