it was going to be a secret but...

before my run in with the saw, i had started to sculpt DR as seen in the banner at his web site. he\'s in a standing position holding a scary yet small hammer taping it into his empty hand.

SO NOBODY STEAL MY IDEA!lol

This is all itchy\'s idea.
All I had to do was point him in the direction of the banner. And to be Honest I\'m kinda \"Itching\" to see the completed item.

Hey Margo,
I guess I would have to be a Dwarf inventor, or a mad scientist, as for the scale 25mm would be nice. I do not do figures very often, mainly furniture and accessories. Have a good day/night I should say.

Well, I\'ve already painted myself up twice, though once was just a Space Marine librarian with my chapter colors.
The other was my registerd device (coat of arms) on the shield of a 15th century fighting man, but it was long ago stolen so I can\' t show it to you. I\'ll have to find another, but since in my spare time I like to put on armor and fight with a broadsword and shield, I\'d do me up as a 15th century knight with my personal arms (Per bend sinister, azure & argent, a lion rampant to sinister and a fleur-de-lis, counterchanged within a bordure counter-company argent and gules)

I\'d have to say... me as my avatar Gordon. Of course, that\'s how I see me... others would likely say adding a beard to the Hasslefree lab technician mini would probably be more accurate:

As a comment on other\'s ideas, I\'d have to say the \"Margo in a corset\" mini would probably sell quite well... lol

I wouldn\'t mind if it did. Although I described my vision of my mini alter ego without really giving it a thought, I\'m actually starting to like the idea :D

... and when exactly shall we see \"Dragonsreach with the hammer\"? lol

Heck, I\'d take just about any female, human or elf, mini out there. They\'d look a lot better than I do now! (Bear with me - I\'m getting close to 40 and I\'m feeling it!)

Actually, I\'d want to be an elven archer/druid done in greens - very natural looking - with red hair (of course!) and green eyes. Maybe an olive skin tone.

Snap!

The Hasslefree Lab Technician was also the character I had in mind. You beat me to it...we\'ll just have to share:D

Maybe sooner than i thought. i broke down and took some vicodin & surprise, surprise... my pain was gone and i could paint. So i\'ll try and get back to sculpting tonight after dinner and another round of pillslol

Maybe if somebody who wins fights with pencils and paper could do a sketch of margo in a corset i\'ll add her to the queue;)

Ok, crazy idea for a mini contest. Paint yourself!

in other words, to enter the contest, you would have to submit a photo of yourself, and a photo of a mini you chose (or sculpted) and painted to best match. The winning criteria would not be best painted mini, but closest match of the 2 photos.

I think it\'d be fun! but that\'s just me, minutes before the end of work on Friday...

You know that\'s not a million miles away from my Maris figure thought the face and hair is a bit different.

Considering all the dangerous looking tools I have stashed for sculpting and that I like wearing long black clothing, I\'m thinking I should be some sort of Cenobite. Yeah, that\'d work.

Nothing terribly original for me, I\'m afraid.
I would like to be portraited as a hobbit/ halfing. Maybe the GW LOTR hobbits from the Fellowship box :)

Hm! Well, if I can think of a miniature that most looks like me (ignoring the attire), rather than what I see in the mirror, it\'d be GW\'s male Dark Elf beastmaster - kinda angular with the hair... oh bugger, perhaps I really should post a pic of me.

The concept of \"Margo in a Corset\" is rather difficult to imagine considering how slender you are in real life.

As for the \"Dragonsreach with the Hammer\" I\'m looking forward to seeing it myself.

:D

Of course I would have to be in my Crinos form of a weretigress. I would be quite heavily built, but curvey. ;) I\'d see myself in the same scale as Rackham\'s wolfen, with an indian (continental not american) feel.

Not there yet...

But DR\'s bulking up and if anyone sees Ari tell him his gobbo standard\'s at this point is sculpting;
concept art
idears13.jpg

Ari\'s art taking shape (thank you SO much for the great goblin art once again Ari!)
goblinWIP1.jpg

and finally DR taking shape
DRWIP1.jpg

There\'s no need to be afraid of sculpting. That goblin\'s only the second full sculpt i\'ve done... well, once it\'s done it\'ll be;). Then DR gets into some D&D games as a sort of \"thanks for all the help learning to paint\" and because everyone on the boards knows about the hammer.lol
