Cmon Marriage/Relationship poll

Many still \"say\" they are looking for commitment but in the end are rarely seeking a mate. That\'s why I shudder at the overused term \"relationship\", because it has that long-term ring to it without actually meaning anything.

When I was dating, I was definitely looking for something with a long-term commitment; that\'s why I didn\'t get married until I was in my late 20\'s. I wanted to make sure that I was with someone that was also going to be commited to a long-term relationship (she said she was, but when an ex-boyfriend of hers showed back up, she was gone in a shot).

Granted, after my divorce there were a few women where it is was just physical thing, but those were \"the rebound\" and they were fine with that since they weren\'t looking for anything serious or long-term. Once I got over all of the garbage from my ex, I decided not to worry about trying to find a girlfriend or even think about a serious relationship. About three months later, I was dating a wonderful woman.

Now there\'s something I\'ve bumped into a couple of times, something I\'ve learnt not to trust. It doesn\'t matter what they say, only what they do. Whether they\'re liars or just outrageously fickle, I haven\'t yet decided.

Oh stop your snivelling! phiIologus was talking about older people, and you\'re not old enough to qualify yet.

sniffle sniffle . . . you mean I\'m not going to die an old spinster????:(
Well, you might if you don\'t stop this awful boohoo\'ing, it\'s enough to drive any man insane! I never heard a grown woman make such a dreadful noise before. Now listen, you\'re young, you\'re adorable, and the only other reason you might end up an old spinster is because being as bold as you are, you might end up chasing all the gentler boys away.

ah well see there\'s the thing Modd, if a boy is scared away from my boldness that\'s probably a good thing. I\'m loud, proud and Sicilian. :D

ugh . . . single . . . been that way for far too long. I actually am missing being in a relationship, even to have someone to fight with on occasion.

I used to think like you Meg...then two kids and two divorces later...I am finally happy being single! Every time I feel like I\'m ready for something new and exciting...I get the bill for child support or a call from an ex-blah blah blah. Of course I have two wonderful kids to keep me busy...and my mistress \"the paintbrush\"!!!lollol

a-dizzle

Wouldn\'t change a thing, either.

And don\'t ever change! Iv\'e sen too many people ,*sadly*, change too much to fit into a relationship. You should be adored for who you are not what they aspire you to be!
Now dry those eyes and give us one of your pretty smiles! :). IF it makes you feel better someone gave me a lost cause medallion lol (no kidding)

A man should be the bread winner.

Hmmm I just plainly disagree. Would you forsake male pride to look after your child while the mother works? I would. Why? Because it\'d be time to focus on the child, if the mother working could provide a better life , I would happily lay down my coat...no mnyeh! :p Circumctances dictate the enviroment...

Or maybe i\'m just not proud at all lol

Have you actually tried looking under rocks lol

TBS: Maybe you\'re just a born slacker and fancy the idea of staying home to look after kids without thinking about how hard it probably is lol

I have to admit, I\'m a born slacker, I just don\'t see it working that way. shame really.

lol cheeky basser! What i\'m saying (without trying to sound like a lazy bastard) , is that relationships require sacrifice sometimes. IF that means the lady works, then so be it lol

Better for you squidders? :p

Brave admitting you are divorced because you, being very good looking, will now have a queue of drooling men following your every move... or something like that ;)
