So here it is. The Theme for the SF-round and second year of CMON unite Contest:

ummmm....errrrmmmmm..... yeah...... sorry but i need to bow out of this, i totally forgot and didnt order my piece. i am a ponce and you may all beat me with a wet noodle.

Is it too late to steal Ubers place in this, and if not are their any rules/restrictions on theme I need to be aware of?

I\'ll talk to the others and get back to you orkydave. I don\'t see it being a problem but I\'ll make sure. Jike Ichi is away for a bit so I\'ll talk to the other judges.

Thanks, but I am forced to retract my offer as supersub Liz, I sat on our camera during my sons birthday and it broke, so we missed out on a load of cool fourth birthday type photos. Even if I got an entry done, I doubt I could get it photographed. needless to say I was not popular that day !

...although in my defence, the sofa is a silly place to leave a camera!

...although in the wifes defence it was me who left it there!

I know I have been a bad host so far... :redface:

I knew it would be a bad time for me, but other dates were to early because of greater contests and all the GDs.

Sorry to hear that Uberdark and Nick232 can\'t make it. Would have really loved to see their work for the competition.
And sorry to hear that your camera broke OrkyDave. Wouldn\'t have been a problem for you to join, if you didn\'t mind the later start.

Maybe you all have more time next time!?

To all the others hope all things go smooth. Still about one week.left! :beer: :drunk::

Sorry guys,
between hospital visits, work and loads of stuff to do round the house, I won\'t be able to get the mini done on time:(, it\'s about 50% there, but I just havent got enough time.

Okay I\'ll bite at throwing my entry up here :)

So I went for Wyrd\'s Rusty Alyce and for ages I was completely stuck on how to do her with regards to the \"Hide and Seek\" theme as well as the base size. Anyway I finally got the idea of doing a \"Rusty Alyce in Wonderland\", with her wandering along and coming across a large talking rabbit with a pocket watch shouting \"I\'m late!\". Now Alyce would do what any self respecting gun totting gal from the Wyrd would do and blew him away. Followed by the mortally wounded rabbit trying to escape by going down his hole and Alyce looking for him to finish him off. Now I\'m not sure what carnage Rusty Alyce would create if she did end up in Wonderland, but for some reason I can\'t see the Queen of Hearts shouting \"Off with her head!\" too many times :).

With regards to the painting of Alyce I tried to go for the classic Disney theme of white and blue, but also I wanted it to be a much darker, less cartoony set of colours. Also I had to do her blonde which was a real problem as I\'ve always seen Rusty Alyce with black hair. The mini herself did prove a challenge to paint as she\'s covered in so much detail and that was coupled with the limited time frame I gave myself. I was a bit disappointed that the blood trail from the pocket watch to the rabbit hole didn\'t come out as clear as I would have liked (Tamiya clear red and black), but if it was any brighter it would have looked a lot more out of place on the base.

Apologies for the quality of the photos too (really nasty light here in the UK at the moment as it\'s raining - there\'s a surprise).

Ok here\'s my attempt, total score expected -5.

I saw the competition and just happened to have Alyce on the bench, perfect excuse to paint her. The photo isn\'t very good but I\'m using available light which on a murky winter\'s day...
