Just remembered a phrase my old boss used to use:

Virtual Spine - meaning someone who\'s a loud mouthed big shot on on-line forums who will slate other peoples work without a thought, yet if confronted face to face they suddenly become totally spineless and unable to uphold their views.

I generally use Tide and spray and wash rubbed directly into the material to get out all but those toughest ACRYLIC stains.
:innocent:I only meant a\"oh, come on you\" guys type of thing. Oh, such minds. <Shocking ,really> he says in Dr. Evil voice.:|~lol

Good God is it that time of year already...

Reverended vTo create a post so utterly devastating that the subject packs up and leaves forthwith, never to be seen again:D

Ah..I miss his incisive wit and subtle use of the English language:D

Come back Rev....The forums aren\'t the same...

@Praetorian - I almost p!ss3d myself when I saw your post - it was twenty minutes before I could stop laughing! My wife (Hatgirl, if you see her) had the same response. We all know a Timmy, and they\'re not all online.

@greymane - only for the UK? I\'d be willing to pay P&P to get some out here in the states, and I know other would to.

Hmmm....

.....we ought to put \'T\' shirts in the CMON shop wish list....

As I\'m on hols and feeling a bit like a \'gofer\' anyway...I\'ll do it now..;)

I thought about that. But it looked like I was following the sheep mentality of mispelling words to get attention.

That\'s right. I talked back. You\'re not so tough without those friggin\' mole grips. lol

A great term I heard once:

POP - seems to mean population, is in fact an abbreviation for \"Pile of Pewter\" and is a general word for your unpainted miniatures as a whole, as in \"Yeah right, buy another mini, my POP is through the roof.\" (But we all know you will buy the mini :D)

This also works for unpainted plastics...as in \"I bought all three of the core LOTR boxed sets from GW, and have managed to paint ten of the minis...\"

Haven\'t added to this yet, but wanted to bump it to the first page so that some of us \"perkers\" (although I\'m not one as of last weekend!) will know what the hell you old CMON codgers are talking about!

THANKS FOR THE LINK BECCA! :flip:

You two just made me think of a new one -

Pairsters - 1) A combination of pairs and posters 2)A forum couple.

I also have -

Finntastic - When someone thinks something most people find weird really cool. (See Finn\'s \'Chess Set\' thread. ;)

Klutism - when someone from the outside (RW) tries to contact a forum member using the forums. I believe the last person this happened to was evilDave, but I think Klute\'s PM Spam thread had us all chuckling for a day or so... :D

And this is one I made up in Highschool -

Breasticles - when a woman gets so old her mammaries begin to resemble her husbands nut sack.

Last but not least - CMONics - 1) The art of using CMON-specific forum-speak 2) see also; Hooked on CMONics.

lol;)

Come back Rev....The forums aren\'t the same...

That was like reading my obituary

Or like seeing the doctor and hearing the words It\'s time to slow down [insert name here], you\'re not young any more... :(

Preciousness: The act of forgetting that the forums are a place for fun and laughs...

Revving: Posting while at least moderately drunk ;)

Tweening: Ominous painting technique, see also: Valander

Sturmhalo:, v.: At the same time, to amuse s.o. and scare the living daylights out of s.o. Ex.: Shouldn\'t have asked Spacemunkie about his weekend, he completely Sturmhaloed me... prolly revving again...
