You know what, I would\'ve agreed with you on that point, as I did on most of your others, but I was just checking. Almost all the minis at the 49 vote mark are from late November or early December. That\'s not really that long ago. Seems like when I first started hanging around here, back when we had to walk uphill both ways to get to the Internet, it used to take up to six months for a mini to get to 50. Now, it\'s only a month or two. Actually, I was surprised it was so fast now.

Yeah, that is probably true. With the \'algorithmn\' (sp) that is in use, it would be quicker than before. But, it still SEEMS like it takes for ever.

I definately think itis the Al Gore Rythmn that does it, with it being weighted to models with under 50 votes. There are approximately 160 pages (in Browse Gallery By Total Votes) of minis with less than 50 votes. There are very nearly ten times that of minis with less than 100 votes. So yeah, once a mini reaches 50 votes it kind of disappears into the Great Big Pile O\' Minis that is CMON.

On the subject of 1\'s, I\'ve just looked at my voting history, and I have only ever given one 1 (and no it wasn\'t for talon of roc)!!! Looking at that vote, I now think it was harsh, and have voted more realistically.

Let me stick something else in the mixer here.
Now I love getting comments and always look forward to my minis reaching 50 votes.I have always tried to leave comments as much as possible to whoever I feel like at the time.If something makes my jaw drop I will say.If an online buddy wants a comment I will.If I think I can help someone out they will get it.
I love doing this cos it feels like Im helping people which in turn makes me feel good and by god thats something I need with my past history,which is certainly a different and very long story.

The problem is that at the moment the coolminiornot site seems to be the slowest site I have access to on the web.Im no technical whiz and Im sure there are explanations for it but the fact is ,and back to the topic, I am not willing to sit for ages posting as many comments as I used to.I will certainly try as much as I can,just cant promise it.

btw Im on braodband now and it doesnt seem any quicker,in fact it sometimes seems slower.Other sites are fine?

if you go to the browse gallery option, you can set it to look at your votes, and then set to lowest first or something (can\'t remember off the top of my head).

That was how I did it, anyway

And for the curious, the 1 I did give was for a figure that was badly photographed that I thought was unpainted apart from green hair (it was a back view). It was actually sculpted hair, which was why I have re-scored it
