I\'d recommend Thief 2 and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Both are stealth games with a high level of thinking required, but you still get to have fun killin\' stuff. Deadly Shadows should work great on your new system.
Oooo! Seconded!
I\'m a ridiculously huge fan of this series. Thief 2 looks its age now, but the game play
more than makes up for that. Thief: DS was.... a reasonably worthy successor. That sounds like damnation with faint praise but it\'s more of a reflection of how much I loved the first two (to the point of rabid fangirl-ism). DS was also released on the Xbox, and it was apparent that they were more concerned with pandering to the console crowd than the PC crowd, which I found somewhat irritating but not insurmountable. If you\'re a completeist, I\'d recommend playing Thief: The Dark Project (the first in the series) as well, but I\'ll admit that they made some odd choices as to the levels (and zombies) they threw at you.
Btw, if we\'re on the subject of the rather old-skool, did anyone recommend Deux Ex yet? It\'s another game that completely rocked my socks off, even though it\'s not the prettiest of games. I\'m not sure I\'d recommend DX: Invisible War (the more recent sequel), tho. I couldn\'t even bring myself to play through the demo. It was horribly buggy and killed my \'puter tho, which probably didn\'t help my initial impressions!
