You're both right, Jade looks darker and more contrasted.. i'll remember next time i will paint a jade-like material.

About the claws: i agree the color is too similar to the skin (but the pics don't help here) and i for one would like to repaint them, but i need to deliver the miniature shortly and i have little time to work on it.. the committent seems satisfied with the actual look so, alas, they will probably stay the way they are.
Thanks for the feedback guys, i appreciate.

Lawrence.

Kylliox, the pack leader, is finished. Some parts lacks precision, but it's ok as it is..
it's been a very long task, but i felt happy every minute spent on it. :)

I did my best with the pics (that means using a tripod and auto-levels/auto contrast with photoshop....lol).

Time to move on, because a friend of mine asked me to paint some Aleph miniatures.
I'll start with Penthesilea.. motorbikes, me happy. :)

Why is everyone tempting me with beautiful paint jobs of Wolfen? Don't you people know that I have other things to paint?! ~sigh~ Great stuff. Inspiring actually.

Hi guys,

at the moment i'm into Infinity because a friend of mine started an Aleph army and commissioned me to paint it.

I painted a test model (the very first Infinity model i finish :D )to get a grasp on this particular miniatures, very thin and detailed: the quality is impressive and, being them so small, they are quite fast to paint.

I put aside Penthesilea because i wanted this hot purple-haired chick to be painted.. nothing too fancy, but i'd call it a good gaming level, for my actual skills: let me know what you think!

I'm glad you like the mini. I'm prepping the others, very boring but necessary. :(

I can assure you that 1-2 years ago it would've taken me days to paint a model at this level, now it's a couple hours.. by no means i am a "master" but i think i'm getting better and, most important, everyone can do it: it's just a matter of practice and blind passion. :)

Hi there,

slowly as always but i'm proceeding. I completed Patroclus and two shooters (they earned the nickname "rocket bruddaz") for the Aleph's squad. Very detailed, lovely miniatures and in the future i'd like to try my best on some of them. As always, feedback is very appreciated.

Hi there, long time since my last post.

I've been pretty busy with Infinity tabletop work: not very exciting but it's always good to have some commissions. :)

In the meantime i'm painting 2 very different miniatures, a Loremaster of Hoeth i received as a present (that's the only reason i'm painting it, cause i hate elves..) and a demon from Clockwork Paladin i started during a private coaching with the Massive Voodoo crew.

Right now i'm concentrating on the elf just because i want to finish him... :) but after all, it's been funny: i tried some iper-cheesy NMM and i created a base were rocks form a magical "stair" he's standing on (not very visible on the pic).

The demon is still in early stage but i really the model, quality is top notch and the details are awesome. I tried fluo pigments on the eyes, when you look at it in person the yellow really pops out.

Also, i'm showing you a pic of the leg engulfed by magenta flames.

Pictures sucks balls and now everything is confused, just wait for the follow up. :)

Hi guys,

just a quick update on the elf. He's finished, and from this angle you can glimpse the base.
Sorry for horrible pics, i will do better ones once i'm done with this fella.

The only parts missing are: energy discharges on the base, OSL for the discharges, OSL for the magical globe and i'm unsure if to give a coat of gloss on the gems.

Let me know what you think! :)

Hey SkelettetS, tnx for entering the party. :D

I finished today the elf. It's the first time i try OSL so extensively, so suggestions are very welcomed.
It's been funny but i really dont want to paint elves anymore for at least 2 years.
I'm not totally satisfied with the precision in some parts of the mini, and i also lacked guts to draw a pattern on the cloack, but overall it's ok.

I tried my best with the pics, at the moment this is all i can do with my crappy setup.

Now, time to go back to not-so-exciting commission jobs. ^^

That's really great for your first stab at OSL! I just finished my struggle with a very large area of OSL and it was hard to get the diffusion and reflection right. In fact in in most cases you have to kind of throw physics out the window and just place it where it looks cool or where you want to draw attention (unless you are going for absolute realism).

well i am not the one to complain about bad photos, i stink at it myself so... :D i also can relate to overdoze, havent painted a single ork/orc in 2-3 yrs and i used to love them.

the base is awesome for a start and the osl is great, although its a bit hard to see whats going on with the orb in his hand, i suspect it looks better irl :) but all in all this mini is success to me, heck i think i even like the model a lot although an elf (heresy! lol). as you say, some freehand in the clothing had been great though, you know its only one way to get more confident to paint patterns ;)
