Hi guys,

not much to show you: right now i'm stuck between some commission i have to finish for a friend, and paiting time is always scarce.

The only miniature i'd like you to see is the assassin from Haqqislam: customer choose the original color scheme with black, flat bases for his models (a shame if you ask me, but he decides..).

I painted it at what i consider a solid tabletop level, but i invested a bit more efforts because the miniature is imho ultra cool. I added a bit of battle damage on the leather parts and the green lenses are made with fluo pigments.. they really kick if you hold the miniature in your hands!

Until next update, cheers to all! :)

Lovely, that's a wee bit higher than tabletop! That gold is so nice - is it nmm?! I'm on my mobile device so the pic is smallish.

Hi Zab,
to tell the truth there's no NMM gold.. i painted the yellowish parts like a leather cuirass, with some weathering. If you buy it for gold, then i guess i didn't such a great job. :p

It really does look like nmm gold! That's cool. I accidentally did a great cold steel nmm on my Fianna's impossible bra a while ago o_O

Hi there guys,

having disposed of commissions, i can now dedicate my spare time to my personal projects.

I want to finish the oni from Clockwork Paladin, so here's a little update. Pics sucks as always, just don't mind them too much.

Basically, what's left to paint is fire and NMM.

I went for a reddish/bronze metal for the plates, and i still need to paint the steel "stripes", so the result is a bit confusing now, but let me know what you think.

Hi again,

i'm currently stuck with the demon so i decided to start painting the Wraith Cairn from GW.

IMHO, one of the most fascinating miniature ever.
Just a quick work for killing time: at the moment i finished the face, the inside of the cloth (where i tried some texture), the metal around the hood and started a texture on the wood.

Soon for some updates.

Hi guys,

painting time is very scarce and i barely progressed my wips.

Meanwhile, i've updated a pic of a Rackham miniature painted last year, hope you like it,

For the CMON annual submission, a friend of mine was kind enough to shoot some decent pics and i'm showing the Loremaster of Hoeth in a (hopefully) better view.

Nice mini. What is the fence on the base?

that is a brass parapet used, i think, in ship modelling.. very nice basing material, the only downside is that is flat on one side. Here's a pic.

Hi there!

Painting time is very scarce but, slowly, i managed to finish the cairn wraith.

Color scheme very predictable, but that was what i had in mind from the start.

Hope the pics are good enough, even if some colours got lost or muted in the process.

Let me know what you think!

Bye for know!

Voted neat stuff, I realy like the paint job on the cape, gives it great texture.
I like the purple on the inside of the cloak too.

Hi guys,

been ages since my last updates; life has become pretty hectic, but i haven't stopped painting, simply been forced to reduce the time spent on brushes.

Meanwhile, the Ikari is completed(or, better yet, WAS completed a year ago...) and i'm submitting some pictures. It even won a gold in the Bananalisious 2 online contest...

standard category of course, the master category was full of god-like skilled painters.

In the next days i will upload some more pictures, and i hope i will be able to be more assiduos from now on.

Cheers.

Edit: as always, the uploader totally messed up the pics.. well, see you next update.

Wow he's great! I'm not suprised he wow at all. So much to like on him I can't decide what I like best. The OSL on the spear, the pink flames, the lava on the base or the great blends on the face!!! Really topnotch job

Glad you like it, i loved this model and put a lot of effort painting it and experimen ting new techniques.
IMHO pictures really don't do him justice, but that's my fault not being able to shoot decent pictures.. i'm working to improve.

Meanwhile, pictures of a reaper BONES orc.

Quick and dirty paintjob: the sculp quality was very low, with lot of damaged areas. Plus, BONES are a pain to properly clean.. they are great for gaming purposes, but awful for display painting.

That said, the most effort went into sculpting and painting the banner and the base.

Really good work on the Bones model--I can't imagine the chain mail was easy to work with. Also, nice jog down memory lane seeing that old Rackham model, especially next to the Loremaster. Really shows how sculpting has changed recently. Can't wait to see more stuff, you've got some really great paintjobs on display here.

Great painting over these last several projects. Incredible results on that Bones mini. And I absolutely love the wild glowing effects on the other guy. I'd love to know how you threw down that incredible base!

Proof that Bones can actually be painted well. I like those Tre Manor sculpted orcs. Too bad most are only available in Bones material.

Bones CAN be painted well but the cleaning alone takes so much time (they can't be filed or sandpapered, except maybe for very fine grade) and the cast is so bad, that i'd go with the metal counterpart anytime. Just my opinion.

@ SaintToad tnx for the appreciation man, the base was done with hot glue to simulate the lava flowing, then black crackle paint on top. To be honest, this was an idea from Raffa and Roman from Massive Voodoo.
Anyway, i'll try to do a small tutorial about it.
