nice work

I think you have done a nice job here. The colors are good, the skin is good and the eyes are good. The highlighting is done quite well. I gave it an 8 because it is very nice. I\'m not sure what it would take to push it up to a 9 or even a 10. The base looks a little bright for this dark mini, and the metal could be smoother, but I\'m really reaching here. I\'m still working on what it takes to score a 6.:D

Dr. Bob

but not THAT Dr. Bob
I liked it! I voted it a 7 (I don\'t look at other people\'s votes before I chose mine). I hope you don\'t think I voted it too low.

I really loved the story!

Very nice....

I really liked the base. Static grass makes everyone look like they are standing on a bowling green or someone\'s front lawn. I like the more natural look of yours.
I think the blacklining between the fingers is slightly too harsh, perhaps a dark brown would look better?
Great work on the cloak...

A good job here. I like the tones used, you have a nice colour shceme.

I agree with finn on the harsh blacklining between th fingers : a bron would definitely be better.

The metal on the blade needs more work : the highlites are harsh, and given what you did on the other parts of the mini I\'m sure they could be a lot smoother ;).

Then there is a problem with the blue bit of tissue. Why is it so highlited on a single point, while other parts that should be highlited the same way, if the light was coming from the top, are so dark ? :)

Obviously you put a lamp before the mini when you took the pic. That not so good, since the flat areas reflect the light and hide your work. It\'s better to have it come from the top or from the side, with a white reflector on the other side then. (Well, that\'s what I say, but I can\'t take a proper photo of my own minis :()

Then the cape isn\'t highlited enough. On such a large area, the light would flow, and the result would be much brighter than what you actually did. How many highlite stages are there ? I can see something like 4... But it might be the pic.
:D

And the highlites are not coherent : if the light was coming from the top, some of the places hat you highlited would be dark (the part of the shoulder under the cape). By the way, I think the skin lacks depht.

Well, that\'s all that I can think of for the moment... The base is very nice.

Well, an 8.... Had the base been less good it would\'ve been a 7 though :D.

Hope that helps !

You\'re really improving!

It\'s amazing to see you improve so much with each mini you do, in both painting and photographing! Well, maybe the highlights arn\'t realistic, but it\'s a mini, so it\'s naturally exaggerated! I love his legging especialy, there\'s some really good transitions there, plus the color works very well. However, my favorite part of the mini is the face. Although it\'s half covered, the eye brows (something I struggle with oddly) and the eyes look fantastic! Really convincing! Keep posting you\'re minis, it\'s great to watch a painting learn and gorw so quickly. :)
