Hi, Now that Golden Demon & Games Day Chicago 2012 has passed us by
(Great showing this year, congrats to Mightychad and Khavor on their demon's as well as anyone else on this forum who received one)
I was happy that my Sanguinor Diorama made first cut, (In what I think was a great quality category this year)
I have pictures up, but better pics need to be taken.
Now that competitions are done for this year, I actually decided to start playing Warhammer 40k!
First, I decided I wanted my own table to play on, So I have started on that, I will have pictures up soon.
One thing that comes to mind is the table I am building, I want it to have some action and movement to it,
I don't mean actual movement, but some dynamics in the table. So I have started with some ideas of my own:
1. have some non-playable models around, maybe casualties and whatnot
2. Electronics (One idea I had was to use a arduino programming board to light up some street lights
and have one of them blinking to look like it's about to go out.) I have basically already finished this idea
and tried it out, works pretty well.
The problem comes in, I still feel the board is too static, and maybe some more electronic based ideas
would help that, which is where you guys come in and help me out.
3. Terrain, I am pretty much settled on this, but am open to ideas to help the table out.
After this I have to get back to work on my new diorama (pictures will also be included in this thread), and then hopefully
I can start painting my army! Hopefully....
I have learned so much from this forum, can't express enough thanks for any and every help/advice I get.
Pics to come very soon folks!
David
