DEAR SNIPER!!!!

First of all i would like to thank you for your time that you spent every single day do constantly vote down my top 10 minis by giving 5 to 10 times a big fat 1 per mini. It finally droped me down from the 4th place to the 13th place and there is no end in sight. I do not remember that i ever have attacked someone here on the site. I allways tried to answer all the PM`s and i never votet down the work of others. So please tell me why you hate me. I just want to know WHY! Post me a PM ( i promisse to not announce your name ), but i forgot you are a sniper and you are of course not brave enought for a outing. If you want me to delete all my pics - just tell me and post it open for everybody to discuss.
It is also very strange that this never happend to me for a period of 4 years. After my auction of Tyrion it starts - so tell me : is it greed maybe????

Wouldn\'t worry too much... I know it\'s annoying, hell I hate when it happens to me... but the score or placement.... screw it... as people CAN snipe... noone checks the score for snipers...

I have noticed a rash of \"ooh i been sniped\" threads lately. I\'m sure it must be frustrating, but don\'t you have better things to do than check your raking on a daily basis?

Actually, a sniper could possibly be someone who is in the top ten and are trying to protect their spot.

Remember that one definition of \"adolescence\" is \"a stage of development (as of a language or culture) prior to maturity.\" So I suspect that there are a few 40+ adolesents out there.

Conversely there are a quite a few people out there who might qualify for adolesence using the more common definition, \"the period of life from puberty to maturity terminating legally at the age of majority\" who are in fact far more \"mature\" than the majority of those older than the \"age of majority\" (whatever that means).

I would be that it does have to do with someone or someones out there being jealous of your huge ebay earnings. And honestly it does stink. And it does point out the flaws of the cmon system, wish also stinks. Pretty much no win for anyone.

However, given the choice, I think I\'d still choose to be #1 on the ebay miniature pay-scale than on cmon.

Mmm, I dunno, I\'d prefer the cmon to spot to be honest. I\'ve yet to see anyone earn any real money from mini painting. Even at a thousand $ a pop, 50 hours work is still only $20 an hour.

I think you are wasting your time inviting the sniper to show himself though Fredy. Everyone knows that a real proffessional sniper will conceal himself at all times, have you not seen that film with Jude Law in it?

I have a feeling though that you\'ll climb the rankings again though. If someone has managed to damage your scores so badly they must be voting 1s, the ranking updates/whatever allegedly discard obviously low votes.

I\'m sorry you\'ve been getting sniped, Fredy. Your minis are very inspiring to me, especially \"Tyrions Charge,\" \"Parzifal of Bretonia,\" and the \"Rohan Royal Guardsman.\"
But you know, ratings don\'t mean much, to me at least. I\'ve seen some minis with a high-6 - 7 rating that I thought were better than some 8-9\'s. I suppose this is because sniping can work both ways, not only to lower, but also RAISE scores.
Ultimately, the minis should speak for themselves, and people really shouldn\'t get influenced by a numbered score.

There may be some snipeing, but I also think its a case of some very high impact painters getting their work in the top 10 last 7 days and keeping it there getting them high votes scores on their miniatures and they have moved up the ladder. The differance in score is just is so little that it wont take much for you to jump back up 5-6 places or more.. one really good miniature will do it.
